I am a member of TIPCOA here in Tippecanoe County and have been for several years. I also volunteer at the genealogy library (time permitting). Mine and my husband's families all settled in the Tippecanoe, Boone, Clinton, Montgomery,Hendricks, Jefferson and Bartholomew Counties. I am interested in finding out as much information as I can on my family. I had several great grandfathers who served in the Revolutionary, Civil Wars.

Wesley Dale #61395570
I have looked through various newspaper websites but I have not been able to locate the Obit from the Lebanon Reporter that's referenced on Find A Grave. I would like a copy of that Obit as it helps to prove our line of Ancestry. There are 2 Wesley Dales and one died in Missouri. The Missouri Wesley's death certificate list himself and his wife as his parents! The daughter was the informat and must have been confused. He is not our line, but others in the family believe he is. This Lebanon Reporter Obit lists sons Charles, John and Lau (Lon). Alonzo Dale (Lon) is my husband's great grandfather. There is no mention of the three boys in the Missouri Wesley's obit.

Thanks,

Wesley L. Dale (1851 - 1926)

RE: Grover Cain
Memorial #1079268104 has the name Grover Caine. I believe that's where the confusion is. The name is Cain per the headstone on the other memorial and the J&C obituary.

Memorial #1079268104 is a duplicate of #10746279 which was created a number of years ago.

Obit for Henry Lawler in Holdenville
Sorry Dalene, but I do not believe this is the same Henry Lawler as the obituary. It says he was buried in Iowa and the children do not match census pictures. Also, this Henry was married in Arkansas in 1910.

Murl
You recently made an entry for a Murl Rhoads in the Lizton, Indiana K. of P. Cemetery. I think you confused him dying at the Knights of Pythias Home in Lafayette with him being buried in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Lizton. There is a Find A Grave entry for him in the Mace Cemetery at https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=38445351 Could you delete the entry you made for him in the Lizton Cemetery? Thanks! Dave Smith

Nerva Timmons photo request
Regarding your photo request for Nerva Timmons at Washington Park North in Indianapolis.

I photographed all markers at this cemetery in 2014. If you can contact the cemetery office and get the location and confirmation that a marker exists, I will be glad to take a photo for you.

Unfortunately there are a number of unmarked or overgrown grave markers in the older sections of this cemetery when it was under the name of Glen Haven. Glen Haven was purchased by the group that renamed it Washington Park North in 1955.

Ora Hamlin
I just fulfilled your request for a photo of Ora Hamlin's memorial. Unfortunately, his grave is unmarked. I looked for his wife but there are no other Hamlins nearby.

Cheers

Kathryn Eslinger Hamlin Abel
I have just created a memorial for her including an obituary from the Waterloo, Iowa newspaper. It appears Kathryn and Ora divorced based on a census for him in California. I have looked for Kathryn's parents, there is a George Eslinger in a Fort Dodge, Iowa cemetery with no dates, but no Sarah. I see her in the 1920 census with a brother, but lose her at that point.
I have linked Kathryn to Ora and linked Bertha to Kathryn, and have also removed the link to Katherine in L.A. as you recommended. I have no idea who that Katherine is. Now Ora is linked to two wives, which may or may not be correct, don't know.
Thank you for contacting me. We are related to Bertha's husband Vernon Steele.
