|Sam Gibbs||William Allen Memorial 50140226|
Hi Shelly. My name is Sam Gibbs - the William Allen who died after 1860 in Iowa is my 3rd great grandfather.
The photo of his grave marker that you attached to William Allen is actually for a child who died at the age of 1 year (the marker says he was 1 year 2 months 16 days old). If you look closely (I enhanced the image) you can see it says this William S Allen died August 9, 1855 -- well off of his supposed 1865 death.
It also shows his parents to be WB and Margaret S Allen. Those are not this William Allen's parents.
Have you taken other photos of grave markers at Sayre's Cemetery? I am wondering if you might have William Allen's tombstone as well?
Thank you for your help. I suspect that William Allen did not actually die in 1865, and am trying to get further information.
Can you please move your picture from Frank Peters in Ebenezer Cemetery, Madison County, IA to the other frank Peters in the same cemetery? There's was created first and they want me to remove my entry for Frank, but can't until your picture is removed.

You added a photo for Clara J Bell to Find A Grave on May 9, 2011. Are you close to the Young Cemetery in Truro, Iowa? I believe this is a family plot and her mother may be on another side of this stone. If you are close to this cemetery could you please take photos of all sides of this stone? I believe Emma J Arnold Bell is her mother and the photo for Memorial 8196077 is one of the sides. Emma J Arnold Bell was my 2nd cousin 2x removed. Thank you for any help you can give me.

|Melissa OBrian||Batsinger: Grace #27996605 & #27996606|
Can you identify the last name of Grace?
And the parents of her spouse Henry?
I'm connecting Baysinger's, from Arthur Baysinger, grandson of John W Stephens (3rd spouse of Henrietta Baugh, my grandpa's mother) in a tree.
Can't id these two people, but I know they are in here somewhere!
Thank you so much for the photo! I really appreciate it...
|Richard K Thompson||Humeston photos|
Thank you for the Humeston family photos you posted last night! They are greatly appreciated. I told Dana about the photos being posted as a result of my photo requests; he had made the Humeston family memorials himself, and I've found some of the other descendants and put in memorials for them in my neck of the woods here in southeast Iowa; upwards of five generations of Humeston family members are now found and linked!
We both appreciate your efforts!
I was just informed that you added photo's to some of my memorials for the Humeston family. Awesome pics! Thanks for your great work! Dana
