Hi
I see that you created a Find A Grave for Joseph C. Wise #90599239. Can you tell me if you are related to him?

I believe my great aunt was married to him, but not sure.

May Aunt was Mabel E. (Shouse) Wise and she married Joseph Charles Wise. I know that he was born 10/7/1874 in Brown County Kansas.

I show on my 1930 census that my aunt was Widowed. The dates seem to fit, but searching on Find A Grave Joseph Wise looks to be a common name, so I am not positive this in one in the same.

Thank you
Mary Escher

RE: Maxfields Family - Incorrect Burials
In contacting Fern Hill Cemetery, Grays Harbor, this was their response: 'These Maxfield's do not show up on our data base for recorded burials' (3-28-2017). Verified in City View Cemetery in Pasco WA they are all buried there. Please have your records updated as cenotaphs if there are stones in Fern Hill Cemetery. Thank you.

RE Maxfield Family Members
I sent several SAC’s on Frank John Maxfield, Nora Maxfield, Gladyse Maxfield, etc. to advise you of the cemetery headstones in Pasco, WA with no response! Please look at the photo’s of the headstones and dates of burial on my memorials. In contacting the cemetery office, they have confirmed actual physical burial in City View Cemetery, Pasco, WA.

Your records indicate burial in Fern Hill cemetery, Grays Harbor, Washington. Therefore, your records are cenotaphs if there are stones in Fern Hill; please contact Find A Grave to have appropriately designated. Relational links are to be transferred to the actual burial memorials. May I suggest ‘authenticating’ your records with obits, photo’s of stones, actual witness or cemetery records BEFORE you create a record? Even then, obits can have wrong info. Thank you, Sincerely Linda

Oliver A Smith
Hi, I noticed you have linked the Oliver A Smith to Catherine Cline. Although she was married to an Oliver Smith how were you able to connect that Oliver to her? I know that at one point Oliver left for the west with his brother-in-law Levi Cline and was never heard from again. Catherine signed an avid avidavit before she remarried that she believed him dead in Oregon. I have a copy of that avidavit. So my question is how did you determine that Oliver A Smith is her husband? Thank you for taking the time to respond.... Georgia LaRue

Location of Big River Meeting House
Hi, Warren. Do you know the location of Big River Meeting (or Mountain) House in Floyd, Virginia? Christopher Jefferson Loving and his wife Judith Seay Loving supposedly are buried there, but I cannot locate the cemetery in Floyd. I have to have a photograph of these tombstones to support my DAR application, so I need to know how to get to the cemetery. I would appreciate any assistance. Regards, Karen

Misplaced Relative
Michael Canaday is a relative of mine and I found your posting about him but I doubt he is buried at Mt. Pleasant. He died at the Jefferson county poor farm according to a newspaper article about his death. I would assume he is also buried there. This is the address to the article.

Your notes say, 'cremated, scattered at sea'. Very confusing...I was at the physical burial of this lady, who was not cremated. Did you have cemetery office notes to drawn upon?

Hi there,
I got a volunteer request to search for the grave of Hannah in Allentown, pa and when I looked her up on findagrave she is listed to have been buried in two different cemeteries. Also in Brush Cemetery in Westmoreland, pa. It appears to be the same person but could she be in both places. I found a grave in Allentown that might be hers but it appears to be in German and I can only make out what I think is her name.
Could you help me with this?

Thanks,
Bill Sevedge
