RE: Allbee Photos
Hi Walter,
I would be happy to help out with pix for other family members of yours at Rockingham, as long as the snow holds off. Otherwise it may have to wait til Spring. Pam

RE: Joseph Finlay
The slate stones have survived in much better shape than the later marble stones. It's interesting to note that folks thought they were getting a superior product with the clean white easy to carve marble. Salesmanship and fashion.

I have been to Rockingham Meeting House cemetery. It's one of my favorite yards. There are 17 stones there carved by Coomer Soule II who carved your Joseph Finlay stone. This information is from James Blachowicz who has studied the Soule family among other gravestone carvers. Google him, he has a great self-published book.

RE: Joseph Finlay
You might be interested to know who the carver of Joseph's stone was. He was Coomer Soule II, one of the Soule family of gravestone carvers. This is one of his most interesting stones.

Blanche Lynam-Greene
While adding a picture for Anna Lynam (1890-1960), I noticed that the stone next to hers was Blanche Lynam-Greene. I'm going to add a memorial for her with picture. If you'd like the memorial transferred to you, just let me know.

Regards, Don

RE: Walter Irvin Lynam
I went ahead and posted the other Lynam headstones that I found next to yours. If you do a search under Woodland Cemetery, you'll find them.
