Lydia Habegger Dies Tuesday Evening
Miss Lydia Habegger, 77, 417 Clark Street died at 6:10 pm Tuesday at the Adams County Memorial Hospital following an illness which began last July. Death was attributed to heart disease and complications. She was a lifelong resident of this community.
Miss Habegger suffered a stroke in July and entered the hospital Nov. 14, the last time.
Miss Habegger was born here March 6, 1893, a daughter of Peter E. and Julia Franz Habegger. She was employed at the Fair Store for a number of years.
Surviving are a foster sister, Miss Zilla Sprunger of Berne and nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Mrs. Dan Lehman and Mrs. Otto Lehman and two brothers, Noah and Levi Habegger, also two brothers in infancy preceded in death.
Miss Habegger was a member of the First Mennonite Church and the W.M.S. of the church.
Services will be held at 10 am Friday at the Yager Funeral Home, where friends may call after 3:30 pm Thursday. Rev. Gordon Neuenschwander and Rev. Gerald Stucky will officiate and burial will be in the MRE Cemetery.
