RE: Elizabeth Justice Millican

She is the same Elizabeth and Justus was her Maiden name. Her 1st husband was Franklin Johnson. With him she had William Johnson and Sarah Jane Johnson.

Elizabeth is my 3rd great grandmother.
Are you related?

I will be happy to go photograph the marker for you but can you give me the Section number and Lot number. This will help me to locate it. If you don't know it, you can call the cemetery and they will look it up for you. Their number is 281-332-3111. They are more willing to look it up for family members than for a volunteer for Findagrave.

Oh okay. They are my brothers. Are you from the Bonds or Chambers side?

I have family trees on Ancestry, but haven't done much to them because I enjoy Findagrave so much. I am a great-granddaughter of Beedy Bonds Chambers and John Mickel Chambers. Their son William "Will" was my granddaddy and his son Buford (41394760) was my dad. I don't know the other people in that picture, but I have posted it on Facebook and asked my Chambers cousins if any of them know the people. Jack's first wife was Maggie Walker Chambers (47595412). They have several children. After he divorced Maggie, he and Elva married and have one son. Are you related to us?

RE: Vanns & Halls
Hi Linda,
Yes, I do have Margaret as Sanders Vann's wife. I was at her grave this past Saturday! I took a picture of her tombstone. She is buried right next to Sanders Vann. I have been intrigued by the Vann's ever since I was a child. However, I never knew the existence of this cemetery until 3 years ago. I was always curious where the Halls & Vanns were joined. They both were land owners/farmers in this area of Rome, GA, one road is Hall's Valley Road. I also have a photograph of Margaret's name in the Vann House, which mentions her marriage to Sanders. The big question is the Cherokee (if any) relationship. I think many people get two David Vann's mixed up. If you have any info on them I would love to know. The story about ZT Hall (Sarah Vann's husband) is quite interesting. He was murdered in his field, and the story was covered by the Atlanta paper. There's even a picture of the killer, Jack Bone.
Thanks,
David

Vanns & Halls
Hi Linda,
I saw your question on how the Vanns & Halls were connected. (You may know by now)
Sarah Tennessee Vann married Zachary Taylor Hall. They are buried in the Vann Cemetery in Rome, GA. I was just there for the first time Jan 28, 2017. ZT Hall is my G-G-Grandfather. Many of the Vanns are buried in this lovely little cemetery. Some of the markers go back to the late 1700s and are quite old. It amazes me that they have survived all these years. You can find this cemetery and pictures in findagrave.com.

Best regards,
David Hall
