RE: Brenda and Pete
Hi Cheryl,

Wasn't sure what to do when I saw there was already a photo on their memorial. Pete and I were in the cemetery looking for a neighbor girl from long ago. We decided since we were there that we would take some photos to fulfill requests. We found your grandparents but when I saw your photo, was undecided what to do. I decided to post it on their memorial.(obviously) I figured that if you didn't want it there you would let me know and I would remove it. are very welcome. Hope you have a great 4th.

You are very welcome. We are sorry that brush and trees prevented us from obtaining an image of her husband's side of the monument. If you contact us at our email address we can send you the image of the side inscribed "Father and Mother" if you like. ~Cheers

Yes I believe it would be under the evergreen as his wife was there. There are "empty" spots next to her so I do think that one of them could be his.

I was at the state Road cemetery yesterday and saw that his wife has a stone there but he doesn't.

RE: Roswell Webster

Sorry, I really would have no idea because it's a good 100 miles from my house and Sunday was the first time I've been there. I may be returning though, because my whole reason for being there are 2 sisters of my Great Grandfather are supposed to be interred there. However, my wife and I spent well over an hour searching it front to back and back again to no avail. I find it strange that Roswell's daughter and wife are within 15 feet of each other and he is not there. I believe he has to be. Like I said before, if someone would at least cut all the branches off at the bottom of that tree, and run a weedeater, you might see a lot that you don't now. When you look at the pictures, there are two of them showing Roswell's daughter Huldah's Grave stone from a short distance. Notice that closer to the base of the tree (to the right) there are two small un-engraved stones in the ground. Just to the right of those , and just under the tree, is the Grave stone of Roswell's wife Betsey. There is also one of the small stones over behind Huldah's Head stone.

Roswell Webster
Hello Cheryl,
I was in the State Road Cemetery in Mainesburg PA for the first time Sunday. Was looking for a couple of relatives of mine, so took along a sheet of 3 photo requests from this site. While I did not find Roswell Webster, I did find his wife and his daughter.
The strange thing about this cemetery is that there is a HUGE, probably 100 year old evergreen that obviously grew there after the cemetery was started. It is so big around at the bottom that there are approx. 12 - 15 markers underneath the canopy of this behemoth! Roswell's daughter Huldah is just outside of the tree and his wife Betsey's stone is just under the edge of the canopy. This tree should have been taken down years ago, as it would be almost impossible to do now without inflicting great damage to the surrounding markers. Next to Betsey's stone where you would expect to find Roswell is a plaque of a Revolutionary War soldier with a completely different name.
At any rate, I have several pictures, if you would like them I can email them.

I'm not sure who it is that has the records. I wouldn't know where to start to find out either. There is an organization that runs it, but I don't know who they are.
