RE: Mrs.Lambert Cain Bodkin
HI!

I FOUND SOMETHING INTERESTING TODAY -- A LUCY E. HENSON, BORN 2-1-1882, DIED 1-2-1969 IN BUTTE COUNTY, WHICH IS JUST NORTH OF HERE. SHE WAS BORN IN NEBRASKA, AND HER MOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME WAS WOOD.
I'M GOING UP THERE WITHIN THE NEXT WEEK AND WILL STOP BY THE CLERK/RECORDER'S OFFICE AND SEE IF I CAN GET A LOCATION FOR HER.

AND I FOUND SOMETHING ELSE INTERESTING, TOO: LAMBERT CAIN, BORN 2-38-1907, AND DIED 12-14-1983 IN PLACER COUNTY. HE WAS BORN IN LOUISIANA, AND HIS MOTHER'S MAIDEN NAME WAS BLUM.

IF CAIN WAS HER MARRIED NAME, DO YOU SUPPOSE HE COULD BE HER SON??? THE TIMING IS RIGHT.

BUT I STRUCK OUT TOTALLY ON BODKIN. THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE TIME FRAME WHICH EVEN LOOKED WORTH CHECKING OUT -- UNLESS SHE WENT BY THE GIVEN NAME OF LIBBY. THERE WAS A LIBBY BODKIN WHO DIED IN PLACER COUNTY IN 1969. THAT IS PROBABLY THE NAME THE SUTTER COUNTY OFFICE CAME UP WITH WHEN I WAS IN THERE.

HOPE SOMETHING WORKS OUT FOR YOU WITH THESE LISTINGS.

Julius Ladson
Olivia

I posted a photo for Julia Ladson at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside. Your request was for Julius Ladson who died in Charleston, South Carolina in 2003, and he is not buried in Seaside. Julia Ladson 12 May 1901-12 April 1988 (SS Death Index) is buried at Mission Memorial Park. You need to correct the dates on the site. Here is her obit.

Monterey Peninsula Herald April 15, 1988, page 4

Julia Ladson

Julia Ladson, 87, a Marina homemaker, died Tuesday at the Pacific Grove Convalescent Hospi-tal after a period of failing health.
Born May 12, 1900, in Charleston, S.C., she lived there until she moved to Marina less than two years ago. Her husband, Isaiah, died in 1968.

OLIVIA: JUST ON A HUNCH, I CHECKED THE SOCIAL SECURITY RECORDS ON ANCESTRY.COM. I FOUND A LAMBERT CAIN,BORN 9-28-1907, DIED IN DEC. 1983. HER LAST RESIDENCE IS LISTED AS YUBA CITY -- RIGHT ACROSS THE RIVER FROM ME. WILL GO OVER TO THE COUNTY RECORDER'S OFFICE ASAP AND SEE WHAT I CAN COME UP WITH IN THE WAY OF A DEATH CERTIFICATE.

WAS UNABLE TO FIND A MALE CAIN DYING IN THE SAME PERIOD OR WITH A FINAL RESIDENCE IN YUBA CITY. AGAIN, WILL SEE WHAT IS ON HER DEATH CERTIFICATE.

LAMBER BODKIN CAIN
OLIVIA: FINALLY RECEIVED A CALLBACK FROM THE CEMETERY MANAGER TODAY. THEY HAVE NO CAIN AND NO BODKIN GRAVES, BUT, AS I SUSPECTED, MANY OF THE GRAVES ARE UNMARKED, AND IF UNMARKED, THE CEMETERY HAS NO RECORD OF JUST WHO IS IN A GIVEN GRAVE. DO YOU HAVE THE COUNTY OF DEATH? AND IF YOU DO, I CAN WORK WITH 1974, BUT A MORE PRECISE DATE -- EVEN IF ONLY THE MONTH -- WOULD CERTAINLY HELP.

Sherman T. Bodkin
There is no Sherman T. Bodkin listed for Riverside Cemetery, Wichita, Wichita Falls, TX, however there is one for Fairview Cemetery, Grayson, Denison, TX. Here's the link for the transcript: http://www.txgenweb3.org/txgrayson/ceme-fairview2.html

Hope this helps!
