I currently am the Family History Consultant at he Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Covington, GA. I enjoy helping other people learn how to find their family information as well as doing my own.

RE: Simon Lafayette Taylor
Pamela....it is possibly an unmarked grave. Thank you for trying.

James Clayton Akin
I added a photo for the wrong James Akin. so I immediately removed it and put it on the other James Akin. FYI... I photographed all of the markers in the cemetery and did not see one for him. Theron Rogers....

I did put in an edit to change it to a B because that is what is on the stone. If its not correct please let me know. and Oh my I loved the monument for the Crosbys, they are two brick boxes and that is sitting on top of those so I could not get any closer. I will be adding names and stones to that cemetery on and off today. If you would like to check back. Thank you for your kind words.

Ok, I will write soon. I got way behind in my edits because of many medical appointments.

Thank you so much for your prayers. He has prostate cancer still and also had double kidney cancer. He lost half his right kidney and all his left kidney. The doc said he will soon need dialysis. Are you on Facebook?

RE: Frederic Barker
Hi again!

When I was working on that a little while ago, I noticed there was another memorial there for a Freddie Barker and it said born and died both on March 4, 1917. At first I thought it might be the same one, but apparently that baby was either a stillborn baby or only lived a day.

I am sorry that it took me a while to get back to you. My hubby has cancer from Agent Orange and we have a lot of VA hospital appointments.

You have a very interesting family! Let me know if I can ever help you with transfers. Take care...

Hi Pamela,

I have added the info. Do you want him transferred over to you? Let me know at your convenience.

Have a nice evening!

Do you have a memorial number? Or give a little more info so I might look up your request on the spelling of her first name? But you probably know that many names are found with various spellings in different records. Even with the individual's own records.

RE: ASBURY WHITFIELD
Thanks for the compliment as I have worked very hard on it, but I did inherit many Whitfield memorials from a cousin who passed away, and I need to do research on them that she didn't do. I've begun.

You sound like me. If you come from old families in the South which were made up of anywhere from 10 to 16 or more children, you find yourself tied to so many families you would need a whole staff of people to help you keep up! So, yes, I just call them cousins too. I gave up on the once or twice removed, etc. foolishness. Great for the people who can be that exact . . . But I'd never get anything done!

I do descend directly from the original William Whitfield who immigrated from England but since every family since, down to my Great Grandfather C. William Whitfield chose to UTILIZE the name William, often for more than one son in the family (for a middle name), it is absolutely mind boggling. I may one day pay a professional to do the job on a couple of mine.

I suppose you know the Whitfields are huge in many ways, and my Grandmother was indeed proud to be one, AND of the fact that her Grandfather Samuel Franklin descended from the family of Benjamin Franklin, his uncle I believe --another search probably requiring a professional. Best Regards, Cuz. N
