I got bit by the genealogy bug about 1999 or 2000. I didn't know anything about my family past my maternal grandparents and my paternal grandmother. I didn't use the computer then, but quickly learned and my daughter started the search for our McClure family. When she discovered my paternal great grandfather had several wives I got interested! For him I eventually found 6! Discovered my second great grandparents, Denny H. and Pernina Parrish McClure were Oregon Trail pioneers of 1851, and that Parrish Gap, not far from where I lived in South Salem, was named for Pernina's father Edward Evans Parrish, a pioneer of 1844. I've been at it ever since! We've lived in the Salem, Oregon, area since 1979. I appreciate all the information I've found contributed by many fine people here on Find A Grave.

No problem with the edits. Find A Grave has made it so easy with their edit system. I will retain the McClures unless you change your mind about managing them, just let me know.

I am glad you found them and were able to connect the family.

McClures in Montana
I am about to process the edits you sent for the McClures in Montana. I am not related to them, would you like me to transfer their memorials? I only loaded them when I loaded and photographed the cemetery.
Let me know,

RE: Schumacher/Bieberson Family
Linda, thank you so much for your kind message. No, I'm not related. I just take photos of gravestones in the different cemeteries in the area where I live. I love doing!! I do a lot of photos for contributor Geniereseacher. She is great at making the memorials. I did add a John Schumacher in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Wheeling, WV. There are a few more Schumachers that are suppose to be buried there but I haven't found their stones. I think it may be John's wife
& their child. I'll check on them when I get a chance to get to the cemetery. Yes, you can use the photos of the different ones of your family. Carla :):)

Was the other name Teresa D.? If so, Yes, that's fine, just changed my user name. No problem. Thanks so much for the updated info, and you are most welcome to use the pictures.
Thanks again.

RE: Thank You!
Hi Linda - I revisited Twin Oaks this morning and found evidence of the D.A.R. marker. It was attached to the reverse side of Reuben Lewis's headstone. I've posted a new picture that show the four small holes left behind when someone forcibly removed the marker. The condition of the holes and metal/rust fragments left within suggest to me that the marker was taken a long time ago.

RE: Reuben Lewis #43351408
Hi Linda- thank you for your note. Twin Oaks Cemetery is very close to my house - I do not recall seeing the DAR plaque on Reuben Lewis's grave, but I'll go take another look. I've been noting those plaques recently. In addition to the one on Allen Davie's grave, I've photographed these as well:

Allanson Beers (Lee Mission Cemetery)

J.L. Parrish (Lee Mission Cemetery)

Lewis Judson (Salem Pioneer Cemetery)
