I am working on finding her grave site in St. John's Cemetery in Bellefonte, PA.. I have the church researching for me. She is my G-G-G Grandmother on the McCulley side of the family. Her first husband was Dennis McCafferty who died at the age of 30 years. I will let you know what I find out. Looking for both of her husbands also.
I was born in Bellefonte and have a lot of relatives buried in this cemetery on the McCulley side.

Stevens Samuel @ Woodland
Hi Maile Ann, Samuel Stevens doesn't have a headstone. Someone previously (this year) also requested a photo of his headstone but it will be re-checked. If you wish to obtain one we can recommend a dealer for you.

Photos were taken today at Lot 57 in Riverside Cemetery. Unfortunately the stones are in poor condition and any writing is barely legible. The front of one stone says MOTHER and the other says FATHER. The backs of the stones have the names and death dates.

Mathias Waggoner
Mathias Waggoner is my 3rd great-grandfather. I photographed all the stones that are there, and sad to say he and his wife do not have headstones. Years ago I talked to a lady she was in her 80's at the time and also a descendant, who at one time took care of the cemetery and she told me that there was at onetime a marker for him and his wife but she did not know what happen to the markers.

No problem at all... it took less than an hour of my time .. he, (and all the others with him) gave up a lot more than that!!

I don't mind filling any requests for this cemetery but you have to have location of the deceased. They will not provide me with the information.

RE: John WHITWORTH #70388704
Hi! Yes, poor wording on my part, I guess. The "he" was supposed to refer to William Starrett. I have corrected that. Please feel free to paste William's bio onto his memorial page you created, if you wish. The info contained in it was collected over the last decade from various online sources. If you have a question on a particular point of interest, I will try to answer it for you. I am interested in all the various lineages of the New England pioneers that settled in the Ohio Western Reserve and am trying to get them linked as much as possible.

Sharon Memorial Park "Privacy" Issue in Charlotte NC

As a volunteer for Find A Grave,I am recommending that if anyone wants a photo from Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, part of the Dignity Memorial Provider Network, they call the cemetery and get the section name and the row # and post that information with the request for a photo. With the section name and row # and stopping by the office for directions or if one has a map of the cemetery sections, finding a grave should be simple. The problem we had last year was getting information about the grave with just a name and DOB and DOD. There was little interest in helping if we had more than one or two names. Now, with 80-plus in a holding pattern, there's no way these people will help. For those who are posting for Sharon photos, they should re-post their request(s) with info so we can find the graves without troubling office staff at Sharon.

Call the cemetery at (704) 537-5011 and ask for the section and row number. Once that is on your Find A Grave post, leave the rest to the volunteers at this end.

Kindest regards,

Charlotte, NC
