I first took an interest in my family tree when I was still in high school (class of 1970). I learned that my pre-immigration ancestors were from England, Scotland, Ireland, Sweden and Norway. To this date, I still have two lines, ALLEN & TAYLOR, which are in the U.S. as far back as I have traced (Colonial America). I'm not sure when I started taking photos of gravestones, but suffice to say it was in the film-camera era (Olympus OM-1), though on a limited basis. But since going digital, I have expanded on this subset of my genealogy research.|

May I use the photo that you contributed to the memorial page of Ephraim Smith, to post on the Vermont C.W. site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org.
You would receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.
I don't remember the website that I got the information from. I have gotten a lot of emails from different people saying that some of the information from this website is wrong. I apologize. I see that someone has taken a photo of his stone and that it shows Illinois. It could certainly be a mistake. You have done a lot of research on him. Would you like me to transfer him to you?

You may take any picture I put up and use. I believe that is one of the reasons I post pictures like this one out of the Macon county history book
I have taken several counties around me and was able to scan the pictures and put them on Find A Grave.
Now I have run into a problem with her. I went in and saw a tree on ancestry and she married a Ogden Lay and died in Pa. The stone that is supposed to be hers has b/d 1870 and I dont think that is right.
She was born 1858 ?Are you interested in any facts for her?

Ogden is 86147942

Thank you again Bruce. I checked Ancestry and the SS Death Index does indeed have his birth date as January 1, 1879. Will change that right now.
Thanks for adding such an exceptional photo to my memorial for Sally Davis Townsend. The last time I was at Tuckertown Cemetery was in 1999, using a Minolta 35mm camera. Those horrible days of film and not knowing what was going to turn out until you had the roll developed and prints made! Unfortunately, my photo for Sally's marker was not one that I would put up. Thanks again, for coming to the rescue!

I want to thank you for this information. I also found this information, and it is very close to the Cemetery where he was buried. There are also 3 more Clarence Taylors that died in 1976 close bye in Calif. I have been kicked out of that Cemetery 2 times for taking photos. If you could please call this Cemetery and see what you can find out. Your Friend, Stuart
