My first priorities are being a wife, mother, and public school teacher. However, genealogy and being a cemetery sleuth are some of my favorite things to do when I have some free time. I also love to travel to places where my ancestors once lived.

Edward Simpson in Welford Road Cemetery Leicester
Hi, Following on from my earlier message, I have now photographed the headstone and believe that I have made the correct edits to Edward Simpson. I have also added the other people who are buried in this plot so if you have any additional suggestions or wish me to transfer the memorial, please let me know.
Regards
Jackie

Edward Simpson in Welford Road Cemetery Leicester
Hi, Is Edward Simpson the one who died 1866 aged 57? If so, I can see that he is buried in section consecrated H, plot 679 along with an Emma Hawthorne who died 1920 aged 83. Robert John Hawthorne died in California and his cremated remains were buried there too in 1920. I am going to the cemetery tomorrow and will check if there is a headstone.
Regards

Bertram Thomas Martin
Thank you very much for the information. The names Bertram Thomas Martin(1872-1942), Florence Louise Martin(1871-1949) and Miriam M. Joy (1896-1986) are inscribed on the back of the monument. Alfred Fitz and presumably his wife are on the front. I am sorry I don't have her name.
I am not related to anyone. It is just a nice Celtic Cross in a cemetery across the street from my house.

RE: Howard Towers
Hi Joanne, I have transferred Howard to your care. Assuming that I haven't made any errors in my genealogy research, Betty, his wife, is my 4th cousin, 1 times removed. I appreciate you solving a piece of my puzzle for me! I would be move than happy to share any of my Baum genealogy with you if you are interested.

Mrs. Leslie Gisler
I was doing some research about local soliders who died in 1944, and came across the death of "Mrs. Leslie Gisler" who died at St. John's hospital. She was born in 1893 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Meyers.----The article never gave her first name, but I looked up Leslie Gisler in ancestry.com and discovered his wife was Margaret, and that they had two daughters Mary (b. about 1917) and Evelyn (born about 1921). Leslie the husband, was an insurance agent.

Don't know where she is buried----thought you'd like to have the information for your Gisler lineage.
