Virtue Barber Bills
Hi, Robert,

I don't know whether you got my email or not, but thank you VERY much for the quick response and the beautiful photo.

I found the answer to the question I asked you in the email.

There is a list of the graves, apparently by plot, in Smyrna West at this link:
http://myplace.frontier.com/~rmattes1/Smyrna_West.html

Virtue Barber Bills is buried with Wightman Barber's family, with her parents and her sister Sarah Jaynes.

Thank you so very much again for the photo! It helped a lot.
All the best,
Molly

Bob,

Noticed your picture on Sidney Bills memorial, but the picture also contains his wife's info. Would you consider posting your picture on his wife's as well, so her memorial has a gravestone photo? I recently have done some work for their family on just noticed her photo was missing. Thank you.

Photo of Sidney Bills stone
Robert thanks so much for adding photo of Sidney's stone.

It's in pretty good shape to be over 100 years old.

Sidney was born abt 1820(per age in 1850 census) in VT to Artemas Bills and Mary (some think maiden name was Crocker - I'm still researching).

Interesting that you are a Matteson - I have a 5th great grandmother who was a Kriger/Krueger when she married a Sam Cook. Was widowed prior to the 1850 census in NY where she is enumerated as Susan Madison (some online sources state that it was Matteson and that the enumerator heard name as 'Madison'). She was living with her daughter Betsy White, wife of Elijah White. Betsy and Susan were both born in MA. And Betsy married Elijah in Madison Co., NY,

Thought I'd mention since you are in the general area.

Thanks again and keep up the excellent work!
