You are very welcome. I'm happy to be able to help out when I can. If you have any one else in this area let me know and I'll try to find them for you.

RE: 64507485 Abijah Hyde
I want to make sure that I do the correction correctly -
The stone in Brookfield states died in 1863, with Sally (presumably his wife) on the same stone. Brookfield death records have him as 84 years old (born 1779), son of Othnial and Sarah. You may have seen that I had that noted on the memorial, while the previous manager had put in different parents.
I agree that the parents are not correct, and will un-link them. However, in your message, you had something about a second Abijah born 1779 and died 1886?? That would make him 107 years old. I suspect you made a typo there, but you may want to check your own records.

RE: John Meacham Follett
I am not related to John Follett. I found the photo, worked hard to fix it to a certain amount, and posted it to surprise ancestors.

If you look at the largest version that I posted, by clicking on the small version on the front page of John's memorial, then clicking on the larger version, then click using the plus sign in the magnifying glass icon, and you compare that to the original photo–the link to which can be found in the photo caption–you will see that I did a lot of work making the largest original version's blemishes disappear. There is no such thing as a perfect 150 year old photograph.

Yes, I could have fixed even more blemishes for free, but I have to quit at some point. I posted hundreds of photos of Civil War soldiers. The photo of John will never be 100% perfect and sharp no matter how long anybody works on it. Consider it a historical photograph. There certainly could be nicer versions of the same photo that have somehow survived, but finding them would be tough.

Ugh...
I just got a note from site management that the picture I left for Earl Ewert was turned into a "flower" because it was not suitable for the picture area... I think they failed to notice that he authored the book, and so it is in keeping with their suggestion that a copy of your grandma's manuscript is personal and can go in the picture area. I have asked them to restore it, but who knows? Anyway, I think this might have been why you asked for a better picture, because you thought I left that teeny picture. To transfer it to you, I am going to leave it on his wife's memorial so you can swipe it, and then when you tell me you have, I will delete it.

RE: Hello, just to let you know...
I came across Ewert because years ago I was working w/ my grandpa's discharge papers from the Civil Conservation Corps and Ewert had signed them. I ended up corresponding with someone about the camp and tried to find him more info, and found those pictures I left on their memorials. They were obtained from the web and are the only ones I have. If you check your edits, I sent you a short bio of Ewert you are welcome to use on his memorial or use for further research. I had to smile when I added her picture- she looks like her dad.

Hello, just to let you know...
I've added pics for Mary Beaton Ewert and her husband, hers of her, his of a child's book he authored. He was a Captain in the CCC in Cameron County PA, and oversaw my grandpa's discharge from there in 1933.
