Pulaski, MS School Group Photo
I just created a memorial for a Minnie Wicker [Rankin], who is seated in the Pulaski School photo in Scott County, Mississippi. This was a great idea to show the Wicker children with their childhood classmates.

Would you please post this school photo to Minnie's memorial?

If you need to contact us, please send a message using the "Edit" link on Minnie's memorial #176941178. Thank you for posting this fantastic old school photo!

RE: Andrew Peterson 147700291
Death of 1885 is as good as any - he was in the 1880 census and did not appear in any census afterward. The plot was for the Baymens Association, and other than a name on the central monument, there are no other markers present.

Paul Huntress
RE: Mary Hamrick and Enoch Smith
They are my 4th cousins.
They are descendants of Solomon Huntress (who changed his name to Hunt) and Lucy Burleigh.
Lucy Hunt was their daughter.
She married Captain Waitstill Smith and had 9 children, 6 sons and 3 daughters.
Your photo has five of the six sons, who were:
Alanson Grant Smith, b. 1814,
Burleigh Hunt Smith, b. 1817,
Waitstill Sloan Smith, b. 1822,
Enoch Hunt Smith, b. 1823,
Frederick Smith, b. 1826,
Joseph Hunt Smith, b. 1831.
It appears to me that Waitstill died between 1860 and 1870, because I can find no record of him after 1860.
I want to put the photos on the Family Tree part of and also use it in my own tree, which will probably end up on my own web site whenever I re-make it, and I might also share the photos with distant Huntress cousins.
(I am researching all descendants of George and Mary Huntress, our immigrant ancestors.)

Clarence Wesley West

I have a picture in my possession that I believe to be Clarence West. I have had this picture for a long while and not been able to place who it is. Is there a way that I can contact you to show you this picture and possibly ask some questions about what you know about Clarence?

I want to thank you for posting the picture that includes my grandmother, Lurline Gaddis, and my great aunt Bernice. I had never seen this picture before.
