RE: Jonathan Shields Knox
I was in contact for many years with a descendant of his and I got the information from him. He (Wm Knox) had also written a selp published book called "Knox Tracks", and the information is in there too.

RE: Adelaide Alice Matthews Reese
Follow up. Lincoln Village is a neighborhood/subdivision in what is now the City of Carson and this neighborhood is adjacent to the border with the City of Long Beach. Carson was not incorporated until 1968.

When Adelaide lived there, it was an unincorporated area and sparsely populated (i.e. rural). The area was originally part of a very large Spanish rancho owned by the Dominguez family. I cannot prove but assume it was officially known as 'Rural Dominguez' but commonly known as 'Lincoln Village'. So both terms did refer to the same neighborhood.

You are welcome.

The Forest Lawn on-line database has only a small percentage of the graves at their Long Beach facility. I suggest you call them (M-F, 9-5) toll free at 888-204-3131. This is a central number. Tell them you want a grave location in their Long Beach park and they will transfer you to a records clerk in Long Beach. Provide them with Adelaide's name and death date (and mention that the death certificate states Sunnyside Memorial Park, aka Forest Lawn Long Beach) and they will look up the grave location. Add that data to her memorial. If you then request a photo, there are a number of F-A-G volunteers who will respond and provide a photo within a few days.

Ethel Griffins Kerns
You created a memorial to Ethel Griffins Kerns. You did not add a cemetery location for her. I assume she was cremated.
Are you a relative? I am a Kerns relative.

Not sure. My husband is in hospital and has been for some time. I'll have to check it out later.

Thank you for adding this memorial. Julia was my great grandmother. I have some additional family information about her and would like to share it with you, if you are interested.
