|Purple Mountain||Your Are Incredible!|
Thank You beyond imagination. I appreciate and treasure the valuable time and effort you gracious took to share your knowledge and resources. Yahoo was afflicted with the Italian holiday disease so I sorry I haven't emailed back and if you got any scrambled message emails. I added the obit and the death and gave you credit in the caption. I will write more later. I still can't get anywhere with the parents' death. I think Sara might have been alone in NH. Might be why Raymond and Mable ended up there. I just can't get enough connections to known information, yet.
With Deepest Gratitude,
|Purple Mountain||Raymond Lane|
Thank you for the beautiful photo of his grave. I deeply appreciate all your thoughtffulness.

I am hoping you can help me with some information about a photo you added to a memorial, Mabel L. Guyette (Lane) in 1924. This is her HS senior picture from Northampton High School in Northampton, MA. Her memorial is Memorial# 34238979. Do you know where and how she came to be married to Raymond Lane? I am searching for more information. Anything you could share would be exceptionally wonderful and much appreciated.
With Deepest Appreciation For Your Kindness,

I revisited Charleston today.
Someone had apparently been there looking for George. Anyway ... the mystery Smith monument has been flipped over; and, alas, it isn't George.

You may have noticed that I claimed your photo request for the gravesite marker of Adelade Smith; and I found her final resting place ... no problem; however, I did not find the final resting place of George Smith, even though a published transcription of existing markers indicates that he is at rest in a marked plot at Charleston.
I did find a monument with 'SMITH' inscribed on its base; but the upright part of the monument has toppled over ... face down; and it's much to heavy to flip over. If that monument had been near Adelade, I would be more confident in thinking that it marked the resting place of George Smith; but it is 150-200 feet away from her gravesite. Given that he passed on 17 years after her, that may nevertheless be the correct plot.
