John Barker
Hi, I believe John Barker was a great grandfather of mine. My maternal great grandfather was Dewy George Wynn, from Kentucky. His daughter, Margaret Wynn, with Bessie Lipscomb, was my grandmother. I have just started my search this evening and am following the maternal line.

Can you confirm for me that I am on the right path?

Thanks, Sandra Wysong

RE: Walter Buchanan
No problem. Thanks for offering. I know there are family cemeteries all over Campton. Just takes a long time to find them and sometimes you don't.

RE: Walter Buchanan
He was born abt 1825 in VA. Married a Jane Moore. Last found him in Wolfe County, KY 1880. Children were William, America, Joseph, Martha & Mary. Can not find none of family on 1900.

Found a deed at the Wolfe County courthouse dated Aug 7 1901 from Jane Buchanan, widow of Walter, etal to Joseph Buchanan.

That is how I know he died before Aug 7, 1901.

I have copy of DC for Joseph Buchanan. He died 1940 Dayton, OH and is buried somewhere in Campton, KY. (based on DC) I figure it will be the same cemetery as his Dad, Walter is buried in.

RE: Rose-Buchanan Cemetery
Gary,
Thanks for the info. As far as you know are those the only Buchanan's buried in that cemetery? I am searching for a Walter. Walter died bef 1901. He also came from VA and they lived in the Stillwater area.

My Dad
Hey Gary,

I wanted to let you know I have added my Dad's info to this site here: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSmid=48020124&GRid=103199830&

He is buried in the cemetery in Campton and thank to our cousin Charles he is right in front of his parents, our grandparents.

We are going to have a memorial for him at the grave on May 19th.
