Thank you for adding Carl to the Find A Grave website. I added a photo of him from WWII. Could you add the following bio for him:

Joined the Marine Corps on 11 Jun 1942 at Augusta, Maine and went to the 3rd Recruit Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Paris Island, South Carolina where he completed training on 4 Aug 1942.

From there he went to Cherry Point, North Carolina for Cook and Baker School. His was then assigned to Headquarters Squadron, USMCAS, Cherry Point, North Carolina and reassigned to Air Engineer Squadron 42.

From 31 Dec 1944 to 29 Oct 1945 Carl served on Midway Island with VMF-324, Marine Air Group 23

Carl was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant on 10 Jun 1946 from MCAB Cherry Point, NC.

Carl's awards include the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
