I am a Mother of 4, Grandmother of 4, all of whom I love dearly! I enjoy traveling with my daughter across the country to courthouses and libraries doing research.I am a Member of the Lt James Monroe Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution with several approved Rev. War Patriots.I have participated in the Autosomal DNA Project and matched over 900 4th cousins. I am a Retired Teacher of Gifted,Special Ed,Science, and History.I hold a BA in Fine Art, BSEd Social Science, MEd Reading Specialist,Post Graduate EDS Specialist in Gifted and loved teaching.I made sure all my students knew how to do genealogy before I retired. I am a serious gardener and botanical watercolorist.I have 8 "rescue" cats that give me much joy! I enjoy estate sales and antique collecting. I have been an avid genealogist since the 1960s.I, especially, enjoy helping cousins with genealogy for the DAR and UDC and at family reunions.Sharing is what genealogy is "all about"! I teach community genealogy classes at the local library once a year and am currently working on 6 family genealogy books.(Which I hope to finish before I am called home) I have contributed articles to major publications. I try to be as accurate in my data as possible because I know the importance of documented data.I do not have an on line family tree even though I have over 8,000 entries in my personal tree. I never copy on line members trees because I like to prove my own evidence with supporting documents. That is the fun of genealogy!Discovery!!! However, I have found many cousins on genealogy message boards to share family history. I am always happy to answer any question I can about my genealogy.I work on it daily with constant updates. It is a "Never Ending Story".
Update: Unfortunately some have voiced complaints because I have added bios as a flower note.I am sorry some of my bios have been removed. That is a loss for other family members. Unfortunately many contributors have removed their contact information or refused emails and I have no way of contacting them about a bio and there is NO PLACE to add a bio if I am not the contributor. Others have ignored my requests even though the information is incorrect.I only contribute and post to my family members.
