Doris has been doing genealogy since her son was born in 1980. She researches Williams, Marsh, Tipton, Taber, Lider, Scoggins and many more surnames. One of her favorite ways to spend a day is photographing cemeteries. She is currently working on making cd's for sale of the nearby cemeteries and has been working on writing and eventually publishing a novel. She is the administrator of The Williams database on myfamily.com (All Williams Researchers) as well as Taber Researchers, The Sherrod Williams Descendants site (Which she started for her friend, Vaughn Allen Williams, which passed away not long ago, she is not descended from Sherrod), and other researcher sites on myfamily.com. She currently lives in Northern California where she just moved back to in order to be near her Mother, Grandparents, Son, Grandson, and other family members. Her husband of 28 years, Gary, and her 11 year old Moluccan Cockatoo parrot that rules the roost, also moved to N. California. She grew up in Northern California and spent five yaers in Alabama as a child.|
Doris feels extremely fortunate that her Maternal grandparents are still living (They have been married 72 years!) and she's been able to get a lot of family information and documentation from her Grandmother over the years.
Her grandparents (Father's side) (James Jasper Marion Williams & Sally Ann Marsh Birchfield Williams) are buried in Killingsworth Cove Community Cemetery, Madison Co, AL.
Her great grandparents (Father's side) Nancy Jane Anna "Anner" Scivally & George M. Williams are buried near Plevna, AL at Miller Cemetery, Madison County, AL.
Her (Father's family) Williams ancestors lived in Lincoln Co, TN; Franklin Co, TN; and Madison County, AL
Many of her Scoggins/Leuter (aka Lider) and other Maternal family members are buried in or near California.

You left a note on the memorial for David Scoggins, asking how to find the cemetery. His stone is not visible (assuming he had one), but you can find the cemetery pretty easily. It is not in (or even very close to) Redding, as indicated on Find A Grave.
It is on Lookout Mountain Rd., off the Oak Run Road, just below the crest of Bullskin Ridge Road on the south side of the ridge. If you are not familiar with the area, the simplest thing would be to take Highway 299 E out of Redding toward Burney.
A short distance past Ingot (and before Round Mountain), there is a right exit onto Oak Run Road, across Cedar Creek. Follow that up the hill (don't take the road that makes a turn to the left, about a mile off the highway). Go up a fairly steep grade, don't turn left onto the ridge road, go down the other side, and after you pass a couple of houses you will come to Lookout Mountain Road on the right. The cemetery is on the right, several hundred yards in from Oak Run Road.

Oh, thanks for the transfer! I added some information to it about Susan and her husband from the book "Bridgeport, Alabama." Here it is if you're interested in seeing it:

Hello! Thanks for writing. There are several ways I know. First, my family's oral history (this is my direct ancestor so we have always known about the other graveyard behind the Old Stone House, I had been there 25 years ago but I just never could find it online on Find a Grave). Second, last weekend I went to visit the site itself to confirm it and took the pictures of the gravestones on the new memorials myself. Third, it's also recorded in a pictorial history book called "Bridgeport, Alabama: Gateway to the Sequatchie Valley." The book records the persons buried in the Arendale and Williams cemetery on page 256. The Doran's Cove cemetery is also in this book. If you like, I'll be glad to send you scans of the pages ... just send me your email address and I'll be glad to. Blessings, Steve

I have found the correct gravesite for Joel Blackwell Arendale and Elizabeth Dare Arendale and have added the graveyard to Findagrave and included memorials and pictures.
Please change the links to the mother and father of your memorial to these:
Joel B. Arendale 166099824
Elizabeth Dare Arendale 166103013
The old links were to another graveyard that did not contain their graves (only a memorial marker).
|Ellie's Grandma||RE: Mollie Maude Biddall|
I am transferring this memorial to you. I don't know why it was transferred to me and couldn't at that time figure out who it was supposed to be transferred to.
I did not post the notes that are in the bio.
Thanks for contacting me.
