RE: Berlin
Will gladly put his photo on the memorial once I figure out how to do it. New to this and not very proficient with the technical side of things.

RE: Flora
Hello Grace, yes they are all relatives. My grandfather was Bruce Roosevelt Flora, son of Melvin Thomas Flora, whose father was Berlin H. Flora. Have meant to contact you before now. The photo used on Berlin's memorial is not him, it is one of his brothers. Helen Swaim sent a copy to me many years ago from the album of her grandfather, John Jacob Flory. I have original portraits of Berlin Flora and Barbara Swope, as well as the Civil War Certificate of Company L Cole's Maryland Volunteer Cavalry, which lists him as Berlin H. Flory. His brother-in-law, Simon Swope is also listed. It has been many years since you and I corresponded by post back when I was living in Houston, Texas and Charleston, WV - very good to hear from you. All the best, William

Berlin Flora
I am wondering if this was Constable Flora of Smithsburg mentioned in the history of Smithsburg on their website. I found his name on a land deed. A parcel of land was given to a Belvin Flora down on the White Hall just north of Keiffer-Funk Rd by William Hyuett in abt 1878(in his estate). It was parceled into three lots. One of which was my grandparents. I am thinking this is the same guy.

Sarah Yeager Kerlinger
Hi Grace,

I research the name Yeager and came across memorial #142653501 Sarah Yeager Kerlinger. Do you happen to know where her mother Fannie Barncord Yeager is buried? Sarah's father Jeremiah is buried in St Thomas, PA.
