Sibley graves in Peru, New York
Thanks so much for posting the photos of John Sibley and Sarah Carriel Sibley, his wife. Do you have an idea when the photos were taken, since you said they were provided to you by another person? I visited the Peru, NY cemetery two years ago, searching for those two graves, among others at that cemetery, and could not locate them, so was so excited to finally see a photo of them.

Thank you for your kind note. It made my day!

I just uploaded the photos (and was admonished by the site because Katherine's photo was 367KB instead of 350!LOL They fixed it for me.) and was pleased to discover you had other pix of her on the memorial page. How cool to see what she looked like and put a face to her lovely stone ("darling wife"... who wouldn't want to be remembered that way?). Glad I could be of help! Let me know if you need any other graves in and around Los Angeles. I live 10-15 minutes away from Inglewood (and my husband has relatives and a friend there so we took our two little ones to "meet" their great-grandfather and others) and I'm about 5-10 minutes away from Hillside in Culver City.

Katherine & William Vail
I got pix of Katherine's and William's graves today. I'll upload them later this afternoon. They were a bit grown over with weeds; I pulled out what I could and cleared them away enough to see at least 90% of the stones and all of the names and dates.
