Bio and Links
Bio Photo I retired from the United States Army as Captain in 1970. I retired from La Gloria Oil & Gas Refinery in 1961 and after traveling the world as a technical advisor to UOP for 2 years, I helped start the Discovery Science Place, a kids museum in Tyler, Texas. I retired from the museum in 2007 but I did not like retirement, so about a year later, I went back to work for two mornings a week at The Discovery Science Place and as of March 2010 I am still working there in maintenance and exhibit building, which is the job I had from the beginning. My hobbies are working with computers and genealogy.

Well, I finally hung up my working hat. I retired from my job at The Discovery Science Place 1 week before Christmas of 2010.

Arthur and Zepha Richardson
Auther Bradley Richardson memorial 47213400 (record added 1/27/2010) apparently is a duplicate record for the same person even though the spelling is Auther Bradley Richardson vs. Arthur Richardson memorial 21733864 (record added 9/24/2007). Birth year on memorial 47213400 differs from the stone.

Zelpha Ruth Davis Richardson memorial 47216381 record added 1/27/2010 apparently is a duplicate record for the same person even though the spelling is Zelpha Ruth Davis Richardson vs. Zylphar Richardson (stone indicates Zylpha R. Richardson) memorial 21733868 record added 9/24/2007.

It appears each of the duplicates should be eliminated and the information added to the remaining memorials. Normally the memorials that were created first remain.

I have alerted Bill to the situation.I assume the two of you will figure it out.

Benton Maxfield
I saw your request about Benton Maxfield. My dad worked with him at the Texas Highway Dept. He was killed Sept 10 1963 when a truck struck the roller he was driving while crossing the Sabine River bridge on highway 80 west of Mineola. I remember this very well as my 12th birthday was the next day, the 11th, and it really affected my dad.

His full name was Forrest Benton Maxfield and according to his death certificate he is buried at Roselawn Memorial Park.

RE: Benton Maxfield
I don't know him. He could possibility be buried at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. It hasn't been fully photographed yet.
I don't do any cemetery work any more as my wife has dementia and I have to have her with me at all times.

RE: Everett Earl Whitaker
You notice his marker is under the name Earl Whitaker. I have a record of every marker in the cemetery and I did not have one for Everett. I stopped by the cemetery office and asked them to look up Everett Whitaker. As I was waiting for them to check I looked at my cemetery notes and noticed "Earl Whitaker" with the same dates. They came back and said they did not have an Everett but did have an Earl Whitaker with the same dates.
Mystery solved. I wish I could say that I have never entered a duplicate. Like you I always check but sometimes it still happens. Have a good week-end and thank you for your service.
