My great grandfather is buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Lackawanna NY, and you cataloged his grave. I see that you have the names of his parents, and each has a number next to it. #917 and 918. What are the numbers for? I am trying to trace my ancestors back to Ireland, and wondered if the numbers will lead to more information somewhere. I am new to this website.

You maintain the memorials for James and Jane Moffitt Chambers in Ridgebury Cemetery, Ridgefield CT. I have just added a daughter of James and Jane: Leah Jane Chambers Devine, who is also buried there, but whose marker is, apparently, sadly misplaced.

Virtual Cemetery - NY 7th HA
Greetings. Came across your virtual cemetery for the NY 7th Heavy Artillary - I think this is a fabulous idea and I thank you for creating it. I have a ancestor who was part of this regiment who is buried at the Andersonville cemetery in Georgia. How do I add him to your virtual cemetery without relinquishing his memorial?

Hi Matt -
I searched for James Fahy's stone, per your 1/2010 photo request, but didn't find it. If you can call the Saint Mary's Cemetery office in Norwalk and get a more precise location, I'll go back and try again.
And are any there other possible spellings of his surname?

Dear Matt,
You have posted memorials for 3 Morrissey's, but exact dates are unknown at the Whitechurch Cemetery in Ballywalter, Co. Tipperary. My grandmother came to the US from Thurles and her parents are buried somewhere nearby in Thurles. They would have been born in the early 1870's and died in 1937 & 1940 respectively. Her parents were Patrick & Mary Dalton Morrissey.
Thanks for any help.
Anne M.

Ardcarne Cemetery Roscommon
Hi Matt,

I live in New Jersey USA and I've noticed that you've done some postings to Find-a-Grave. I have Farrell/Mulvey/McGreevy, Lowe and Higgins ancestors from the area of Killukin, Croghan, Lisadaly and Toorymartin. The difficulty is finding the graves of the old timers and knowing if ever there existed a book of interments. Some say yes there was and others say no. Bottomline, in my research I would love to know where the ancestors are buried. Some of them must have headstones especially those buried in the 20th century. Just short of my coming to Ireland can you give any help or direction ?

Thanks so much,
Greg Burns

Ardcarne Cemetery
Hi Matt,

Believe you may have created this cemetery page. There are two recognized cemeteries St Beaidh, Church of Ireland (mixed denominations) and Ardcarne New Cemetery which stand side by side. Are you able to clarify in which cemetery your memorials 52754126, 52754197 and 52878606 actually are.

Daniel B. Joyce
Hi Matt,

You address a page showing information on my great-grandfather and great-grandmother. They are Daniel B. joyce and Linna (Hurlbut) Joyce. Do you have the ability to give me further information on them especially Daniel B. I know that Linna's family was from Roxbury, Ct and that Daniel was born in Ohio, either Sandusky or Akron. Will appreciate any info you can provide.

TY, Doug Joyce
