Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am interested in the genealogy and history of Weed, California. I appreciate the many contributions to Find A Grave, so I am slowly adding data and photos to the Winema and Lincoln Heights Cemeteries in Weed.

Feel free to use any photograph I have taken for use in your family history. Credit is appreciated.

When I place a photo of the Weed Arch on someone's memorial, that means they have some connection to Weed, Siskiyou County, California.

When I place the photo of the Paoli, Oklahoma baseball team on a memorial, that means they are somehow related to the North/Poindexter family.

When I place the photo of the New England couple, the woman with a "classic" New England look and the man with a "classic" Irish look, that means they are related to the Haynes/Doyle family.

When I put the photo of a coyote on a memorial, that means they are related to the Freeman family.

If you have a relative buried at Winema or Lincoln Heights Cemetery, I would love to hear from you. Perhaps we could help each other in our search for people from the past.

Henry Picard
Thank you so very much for taking the time to create this memorial as well as adding the photo and newspaper clippings. Henry was my 3rd Great Grandfather and I had never seen a picture of him until I stumbled upon your memorial today. His burial location has been one of my "missing links" and now I will be able to link some of his children to him including those of his first wife and my 3rd great grandmother, Otus-We-Ta. I appreciate this more than you know!

I will let you know what I find out after my next visit.

Edwin Haynes photo request
Hi Linda!
I took a few pictures of the marker. Wanted to reach out to you and let you know I'm uploading I think it's three of them and ask if you would then let me know which you prefer I leave. I will then remove the others. I will also upload the picture of the immediate area. I did not see any other Haynes markers in the immediate area.
Additionally, I took a walk through what I believe is section O and did not see Grace Doyle's marker. The office was closed due to the holiday, but I will confirm where section O is and look there first on my next visit. If you have the other family member's names who are there, please advise.

Edith M. Beall - 134175861
Thank you for providing the obituary for Edith M. Beall. I would have never found it in California. I have added the obituary as the bio (giving you credit for it). Would it be possible for you to remove the "photo" copy? Thanks and thanks for the work you do in Find A Grave

James B Lynch Article
James B Lynch's Find A Grave number is 110725434
We have a death certificate for his wife, but not him. Working on it. Her burial place is simply listed as "Yreka, CA" with no cemetery name. My sister in Chicago has the documents, so I'll have to coordinate with her to see if there is a funeral home or other useful information.

Thank you so much!

James B Lynch Article
My family appreciates the article you posted. This is in fact the article that describes the death of our grandfather, and the subsequent death of our grandmother. However, the James B. Lynch to which it is attached is probably not the correct person. We've been digging into some long-lost family archives and discovered that they were buried in Yreka, CA, not Colma. The irony isn't lost on us that two James Lynches share the same dates of death, but the connection to that region of California remains hidden to us.
Correspondence between the child welfare officials in Siskiyou County and relatives in Virginia over the disposition of the children confirms that this is the right event, but attached to the wrong person. We are not yet able to locate a cemetery with records of their burial in Yreka, but everything seems to confirm it. Couple that with no record of James' wife in the Colma cemetery, and I think we can be pretty certain that it's somebody else's James Lynch. That, and of course, the incorrect middle initial. Please don't remove the article until we can locate our grandparents final resting place. I enjoy coming back to it reading it occasionally.

Thanks for all the work you do. My contributions to Findagrave are amateur in comparison, but every contribution to this great work of data collection helps someone reconnect with a person they care about.

re: James B Lynch article
Thank you so much for posting the article about my paternal grandfather's death. Our father just died this spring and his stories about his father's death were recalled from his childhood - evidently not exactly accurate. Can you connect me to any more information about the incident or about his wife? Also, his name was James H (Harry) Lynch.

Please check memorial #160596279 for Laura at Camellia Memorial in Sacramento County. It appears you may have made a duplicate record.
Thank you,
Juanice Hess
