RE: Memorial 19118049
The dates are on the headstone--someone other than myself posted his picture. I know nothing about the gentleman. Sorry. There have been times that I added info to Find A Grave entries in reply to requests that I have received to do so. Wish I could help you more.

RE: George Smith Photo
I'm so glad you enjoyed getting the pictures. I had my niece take them about a year ago. I was actually looking for Jeremiah Smith. George was the brother of my ancestor. Here is some information I found and used to find the cemetary. Sorry I don't have the source.
The Warners were also my relatives. The town of Warnerton is named after them.

Please email me at if you would like.

George Smith Cemetery (also known as the Peter Morris Cemetery) is located sect 27, Township 2, Range 10; eight miles south of Tylertown, just off Hwy. 27 and a short distance behind the home of Jerry Denman. Jerry's home is directly across the highway from Denman Farms. To the right of the house is a creek. An old lane runs to the right of the creek back to the cemetery. In May 2010 the cemetery was still fenced in and easy to get to but very grown up once you get to it. From the highway, go down the lane about 100 yards are so. The cemetery itself is thickly grown over by brush and briars. It is obvious that at one time this was a nice size cemetery with a good many graves. It is difficult to get around within the cemetery due to the brush and briars. However, a several grave site are still visible. Many markers are broken and/or unreadable. There are about three or four large natural rocks that appear to have been used as headstones.
