Who Moved the Bennett's?
Hi! I have a story for you about the Bennett's.

Joshua and Permelia Bennett are not at Melugin Grove Cemetery. When they died, this cemetery did not exist. So where are they?

I went to a cemetery near Melugin Grove yesterday to photograph two other graves, but I stayed and photographed everything because (1) it is not that big, and (2) I felt it was important to capture everything digitally at this remote spot before it vanished. The grave markers are not in terrific shape.

After I finished photographing there I went up the road to complete some photo requests at Melugin Grove. I could not find Joshua and Permelia Bennett's graves there, but I did find three others Bennett's at Melugin Grove:

1. Grace Bennett, 1896 - 1908
2. Maud Bennett, 1875 - 1904
3. Hiram Bennett, 1869 - 1943

If you would like photos of their graves please add the photo requests and add my name (Ace) to the note.

This evening, while checking to see if there were any new photo requests for Melugin Grove, I saw the two Bennett photo requests still there and thought I should tell you that I could not find them yesterday (and I know that someone else also tried to find them at Melugin Grove yesterday).

It then struck me that there was a Permelia at the other cemetery I visited. So I checked, and sure enough it is the right Joshua and Permelia Bennett.

I hope that you will transfer Joshua and Permelia Bennett to Melugin-Robinson Cemetery, make sure you keep the photo requests, and I will then post the photos I took yesterday.

I hope this story brings a smile to your face and that you enjoy the photos.

P.S. I felt prompted to photograph the whole cemetery. This is not something I normally do. My original intent was to just photograph the two photo requests and leave. It kind of makes me wonder what good things are going to come of the other photos I took there.

Bessie Head Stone
Nice fall day, so I went for a ride. Been wanting to get a photo of the head stone anyways. Also as I said, would you like me to transfer them to you. Being that Bessie is your Great Grandmother?

Have a nice day

RE: Charles Phifer-Glenwood Cemtery-Perry, New York
I got the cemetery info from his obit.. If I can get their lot numbers I will get there most likely in the spring. It's in driving distances. Also I would like to get a photo of his stone. If I find it, I will also take one of hers, if she is there. And let you know.
Charles Phifer Jr. was my Great Grandmother sisters son.

Samuel & Anna Kemp
I have photos for Samuel & Anna Kemp. However, the dates for Samuel do not agree with the dates on the stone. This Samuel could not have been the father of Emma given the dates on the memorial. I will post the photo for Anna, but will wait until I know this is the correct Samuel. Donna

Jabes and Maria Newland stone
The is a picture of their tombstone provided on their memorials at the Carter Cemetery. I was most delighted when I located it a few years ago. I never imagined I could find it.
