Originally from East Tennessee, I am a member of the National Allanson-Allison Family Association and actively gathering family history and photos of gravesites of my ancestors, mostly in Western North Carolina and East Tennessee. I am also a member of the Transylvania Genealogical Group, the Transylvania County Historical Society, the Loxahatchee River Historical Society, the Blount County (Tennessee) Genealogical and Historical Society, the Old Buncombe County (North Carolina) Genealogical Society and First Families of Old Buncombe.|
I am a mechanical engineer by training and a computer programmer, but nearing retirement. I have gotten very much involved in my family history research and will be keeping an eye as I travel for photo requests for cemeteries that I will be visiting.

|David Coward||RE: Matt Ransom Coward|
Thanks so much for the transfer!
|David Coward||RE: Capt. matt Ransom Coward|
Would you consider transferring management of his memorial to me? Thanks.
|David Coward||RE: Capt. matt Ransom Coward|
He is a second cousin of mine. If you wouldn't mind transferring his memorial, it would be most appreciated. Thanks!
|Ruth ||RE: Lela Moore Hall|
Thank you for linking Lela to her parents so promptly. I sent some other information via the ‘new' Edit tab in regard to her place of birth/death and also requested that "Moore" be placed in the middle name section instead of in the maiden name section.
I appreciate the kind offer to transfer management, but I see no need for that. You have done an excellent job with the memorials and if I find anything else to add, I'll just send it to you. The Hall family is distantly related to me, also. David, Sr.'s grandmother was a Wells and his great-grandmother was a Palmer. I am related via both the Wells and Palmers – they are my maternal ancestors. Many of them are buried at Big Sandy UM Church Cemetery in Leicester (which my grandmother, who was raised there, called Lee-Cester). :-)
I found, in an online book, a great biography for David McKee Hall, Jr. I've transcribed it and will send you a copy via email. I thought you might want to share this with your father. It sounds as if he is a remarkable man! My mother was 92 when she died in 2012 and her mind was ‘sharp as a tack' until just a few days before her death.
I'll send you an email shortly. Thanks again!

|Natasha||RE: Barbara Patton at Riverside Cemetery|
Thanks for your message. The Riverside website at: http://www.ashevillenc.gov/Departments/ParksRecreation/ParksOverview/ParksFacilitiesInventory/RiversideCemetery.aspx is where it shows her name as Mrs Barbary Patton. That's where I got it from since I was unable to read the stone that well. It does look as though there is an "I" there to me, as well. I will check with the cemetery office and see what information I can find out.

Hi! Sent you a message via "edit" tab on Jeremy, who needs Galloway as last name and Clayton as Middle name. Thanks in advance for fixing it!

Thank you so much.
|Elizabeth Gunter||Alexander Graveyard|
I am related to the Alexander's and have a list of all the people buried in our family graveyard. If you would like to know more info on this I will have my sis dig it all up. I have been there a couple of times. My dad is from Morganton so we were up that way pretty often.
My dad is William Alexander Harbison III
|Carol Adams Rowlands Hays||RE: Robert Penland of Quaker Meadows|
Robert Penland is also my gggg grandfather through his daughter, Eleanor Nellie (Penland) Gibson; her son Joshua Gibson; his daughter Sarah (Gibson) Adams; her son Wardlow Monroe Adams; his son Earl Monroe Adams (my father).
His memoriam marker at the Quaker Meadows Presbyterian Church Cemetery notes that he is buried in a family cemetery just beyond Canoe Creek.
One of the items on my family tree for Robert is information on land that he owned on both sides of Canoe Creek. So, my guess is that he's buried on land that he owned. It appears that his grave is the oldest in this cemetery. I have no clue why it's called the Alexander Family Cemetery. I've been unable to find any ties to anyone named Alexander. It's possible it wasn't given this name until many years after he was buried there. So, there could very well be a descendant that we don't know about.
Also, I don't know where his wife Elizabeth is buried. She died 13 years after he did. She could be with him.....I just don't know. The memoriam at Quaker Meadows doesn't mention where she might be buried.
