Victor, We do have an Edward Corcoran interred in 1903. Is this the Edward your photo request was for?

Sorry. You added the picture of the cemetery sign and I mistook you for the poster of the above name. My mistake.

RE: Dec 12, 1966
VICTOR, THANK YOU FOR YOUR QUICK REPLY, YOUR SERVICE AND FOR WHAT YOU DO ON THIS SITE. FOR MANY YEARS I HAVE BEEN CONFUSED BY THIS STORY OF THESE TWO MARINES KIA IN THE SAME TRUCK. CPL. HESS WAS NOT IN SAME TRUCK AS LCP. VALT. ALL IN CONVOY PERTAINING TO LCP. VALT WERE FROM H BTRY, 3RD BN, 11TH MARINES, 1ST MARDIV. I IDENTIFIED LCP. VALT'S BODY AT GRAVES REGISTRATION ON DEC 23, 1966 AND THEN WENT TO HOSPITAL TO VISIT THE MARINE THAT WAS DRIVING THE TRUCK. HE WAS BATTERED AND BROKEN BUT AWAKE AND TALKING, I DON'T KNOW HIS NAME BECAUSE HE WAS ONLY IN NAM 8 DAYS WHEN THIS HAPPENED. I NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN AND ASSUMED HE EARNED A TICKET HOME, THEN I STARTED TO THINK MAYBE HE DIED WITHIN A FEW DAYS GOING ALONG WITH THE STORY BEING TOLD. I AM 100% POSITIVE CPL. HESS WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THE SAME INCENDENT AS LCP. VALT.

Vic

My bad. I should have realized who I was sending my note to and that you would have his Silver Star info already.

I am just so used to sending info to page managers that I forget how others like you will have it. I just want to be sure their story gets told.

Thanks

Jack

Would you mind calling the cemetery office for full burial plot.
Then I'd be happy to take a picture.

Just added obit for George Kartalian , found obit for Margaret but no cemetery was given.

I am well. I am now a grandma, a beautiful girl named Emma.

Thank you for all that you do to honor the fallen soldiers.
