Thank you for connecting my Great Uncle Don to his family members here in WI!
He was a career Army man and never lived in WI again. Retired in Hopewell, VA. He actually came to Fort Jackson, SC to pick me up from boot camp and I spent a week with him before coming back home to WI.
After his wife, Florence, died....he would come home to WI for a month every summer. We took him to a particular parade and we always kidded him about how much he liked watching the belly dancers...lol.

It is easier for both of us if you would go to the edit button on the person's memorial and wrote from there. I would automatically be taken to the cemetery that way and to the right memorial.

|Andy Keller||RE: Hattie Clay|
I have confirmed the Smith with her grandchildren. All her children are now dead so no one seems to know where the Smith came from. I have not had any luck yet with the person who posted her daughter that I want to link so I will have to ask one of my Findagrave contacts to do it for me. Transferring a grave should be easy.
|Andy Keller||Hattie Clay|
Yes Clay was her maiden name. If you have made the link you can see her brothers and sisters. I want to do some more checking with her grandchildren on the middle name and perhaps why the headstone used that initial rather than the C. for Clay. I have her middle name as Smith, but there were no Smiths in her family history. Scott would have made more since because two of her grandmothers were sisters in the Scott family.

Hattie was actually the daughter of Irving Anderson Clay 37423533 and Anne Booker Scott 37423453. She has a daughter who need to be linked to her, Annie Laurie Ward 90081251. I would appreciate it if you could set up the appropriate links for her.

I am wondering if you still participate in FindAGrave. I've sent a few suggestions, but see that you have not included them.
