RE: Irwin Chapel Old Ruins
Take 41 into Wando take a right if going south or left after crossing the bridge onto 33 {Clemets Ferry Road}, not a even a mile on your left is a field, go in, and not far on your left up on the bluff is the cemetery. It has been years since I was there and it may be over grown again. There are head stones still there. I would not be surprised if someone bought the land and moved the cemetery.
Better take a machette and watch for snakes~~!!! Good luck~!!!!

RE: Catherine Chicken
Brandon, thanks for letting me know. I can't remember where I got the photo. Now you got me thinking. Is there anything I can help you with? I really don't know anymore about her.

RE: Catherine Chicken
Brandon, can you please refresh me on what I did for you? I think I had a memorial for a Chicken, but I can't find one. Is she buried at Strawberry Chapel?

RE: Catherine Chicken
Brandon, I got the photo from the book "South Carolina Portraits" published by the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of South Carolina. She is on page 345 and it says the photo is from the collection of Mrs. Benjamin Ambler Hagood (Derrill Taber Maybank) Charleston, South Carolina, first printing 1996 and second printing 2000. Good luck.
