Bataan March - proper phrase has always been, The Bataan Death March.
Your narrative infers death as result of the Bataan Death March. However, you show him having died in china. Please clarify.
|Susan Hester||RE: Elaine's family|
I will check with my other cousin and see if he is willing to help you. It will be a few days.
|Susan Hester||RE: Elaine's family|
Unfortunately, I no longer keep in touch with any of my cousins in that part of the family, so I don't know if they are interested. I could try to track them down to find out if you would like for me to, because I am in contact with one of my cousins from another aunt. However, I don't know how they would feel about you contacting them if they don't know you. People tend to be pretty cautious these days.
|Susan Hester||RE: Black's|
Elaine was my aunt by marriage. Blaine was my mother's brother. My mother was Glenrose Ford Hester. Elaine never seemed like an "in law". She was so nice to me all the time when I was growing up. Ellen is my age, so when my parents and I would drive from San Antonio to Grand Junction every summer, I spent a lot of time at their house. You may like to check out my virtual cemetery "Susan's family Ford side". They are all there. It's nice to meet you!
|Larry Parker||Hansen family|
Since you wrote such a great bio for Don Hansen, I am sure you have a connection to him. So I want to let you know that I added a photo to his mother's memorial. The photo might show Don, or else the boy is his brother Mack.
The photos are so large that FindAGrave shrunk them a little. So here's the full-sized versions, after I combined them and repaired some minor blemishes:
Click on the small version, then scroll to zoom in to the full size image, which is 10 inches wide on my desktop computer monitor.
Feel free to copy, save, and use the photo, if you care to.
I have no connection to the family, I just find great genealogy items and pass then on :)
|Don Calhoun||Alta & Noah Sowers|
I added stone photos for Alta & Noah Sowers, guess they're related to you.
|mickyo||Don J Hill|
Thank you for the edit on Don Hill's memorial # 150242828. I did a little bit of research and found his military records and census listed him as Don J. Hill. I have no idea why the title of his obituary read Donna Jean Burt Hill. I have corrected the name to read Don J. Hill.
Are you related to Don?
