My name is Tom and I live in the Netherlands.
I'm very interested in World War Two. While perfoming researches (regarding crashed aircraft in my area, and soldiers who were killed here etc.), I learned of "Find A Grave". I consider it as a great source of information.

I'm sorry too, Tom. There are more than a few cemetaries out there that are not sympathetic to photo volunteers, and Ridgewood is one of them. I can only suggest that you remove your request until you can get the plot location - then re-post. You could either phone them or write (enclosing a SASE) and ask for the information. Telling them it's for a research project should be sufficient. Anyway,that's my suggestion - we're trying to keep thihgs civil between photo volunteers and cemetery office staff. Again, I apologize for not being able to be more helpful.

|Gary Fox||Photo request at Ridgewood Cemetery|
The Ridgewood page on Find A Grave asks that photo requests include grave location information. The office at Ridgewood has gotten increasingly difficult for photo volunteers to ask for locations. Family members and others calling in to the office should have no problems. Please update your request with the location information and it'll get done. You should be aware that the sections at Ridgewood are numbered. There are about 25+ sections out there (not counting mausoleums areas). Here's an example…Section 4, Lot 183. This is usually good enough – but if they include Block/Grave numbers, that's fine too.

I have no direct connection to any members of this unit. Photographs were made available and I checked to see if any were at FindAGrave. Those who were, had the pictures added. I believe that there is information on this PIR available on-line.
