I have been seriously involved with genealogy for 30+ years. I've been an active participant in and contributor to the Alford American Family Association since its founding in 1987. I have been working on an update and revision of The Descendants of James Cole of Plymouth for even longer.|
I give permission to anyone to use, for any non-profit purpose, any gravestone photograph I post.

Sorry about the last message, I would like for you to Transfer Neva VanHouten Alford at the Ft Ogden cemetery ,back to Donna McPherson or to me, she was only an alford for a couple of years , but was born a Vanhouten but was an Arthur most of her years so our Mother does not count as an Alford, even though we all like Earl they werent married that long and her kids are all Arthurs and My Husband and I spend a lot of hours and money at that cemetery, Maintaining the mounument and cleaning an repairing graves. Thank you

We can identify easily the soldiers from Ohio in our database so we shall work on that.
Thanks as always

I looked at his page and there is no place to click to add photos. Strange I have never seen that before. I had not seen the photo you posted of him. We keep all the photos we have of soldiers buried here in our own files as well as we display them for visitors to see. Have you posted any others as I would love to see them. Each time I see a photo of a soldier for the first time I say another one has come out of the mist. It would be great to have a photo of each one but that will probably never happen as many are lost to time. It is so important that we try to get as many as we can for future generations. Thanks again for all you do.

Pam, I stumbled across an Alford at Pinewood Cemetery in Greenville NC today, and was checking to see if she is in your tree. Looks like she is the daughter of Alonzo & Sallie Alford, married an Eugene Jones in 1909. Memorial# 175740037.

Yes, of course you can use my photo for that purpose. My name is Rhonda Witwer for the credit. Thank you for asking and thank you in advance for the credit. Rhonda
