~*~People should never change the traditional names of cemeteries!
~It makes it hard to find the proper cemetery to add memorials, creates duplicate cemeteries, etc. ~Ask SEVERAL people or find SEVERAL sources before changing the name, don't take one person's word for it.
~Don't rename a cemetery using the oldest person's surname in a cemetery, it may have been their in-laws or others with a different surname that donated the land for the cemetery that deserves to be recognized.
~And again, a family cemetery may have changed to a community cemetery, thus creating a new name and forgetting the original owners.

~*~I also find it very disturbing that people have new headstones made (and the information isn't valid, sometimes) and sometimes TAKE/STEAL the old original headstones.

~*~Info, obits, and photos welcome on any of my memorials! Just let me know so I can add info to my family tree if need be. And anyone is welcome to any of my photos!

~*~I'll transfer any memorial as long as they are not my relatives, unless you are closer related than me. And I don't bother with the 4 generation thing...And by the way for you sticklers out there----4th generation is up to Great-Great Grandparents, NOT Great Grandparents. That would be including yourself!!!

1. Parents
2. Grandparents
3. Great grandparents
4. Great-Great grandparents

Brother and sisters should not be included as 1st generation either. If you have no siblings it limits the limit!!

Were there no God, we would be in this glorious world with grateful hearts, and no one to thank.
~Christina Rossetti

All this belongs to the past now. The old homestead has fallen into other hands, the old people sleep in their quiet graves, and their descendants are scattered. The brave old days are like a dream of the night, scarcely to be remembered in the realities of to-day.
~Reuben Davis, Recollections of Mississippi and Mississippians

My mother's people, the people who captured my imagination when I was growing up, were of the Deep South - emotional, changeable, touched with charisma and given to histrionic flourishes. They were courageous under tension and unexpectedly tough beneath their wild eccentricities, for they had an unusually close working agreement with God. They also had an unusually high quota of bulls**t. ~Willie Morris

Hello, As I read the obit for William Calvin Meadows it seems that part of the obit is missing. Do you happen to know where I could find the complete obit? He is my second cousin 1 x removed.
Thanks so much,
