Bio Photo I enjoy the detective work of genealogy. There is such joy in finding that missing unanswered questions about the past.

I've begun photographing stones, and if I add one, feel free to use it.

RE: Ditmars Genealogy
Good morning Tara,

I have been trying to if related to Elihu Burritt Ditmars because I have been spoke to Larry L Ditmars which would have been great grandson of Elihu Burritt Ditmars, then descends to Alva Sherman Ditmars, then Lloyd Ditmars.

I have a cousin of my husband's wife son-in-law, Daniel, and I was checking to see if I was related to them.

My 2nd great grandfather was James "Martin" Ditmars (he is buried in King City, Cemetery) in King City, Mo.. I descend from a Kort Voohees Ditmars, (one of my mother's branches)
(Which he had a Abraham Abraham Ditmars, as a sibling), and I have a tree on ancestry, but I think I may have mixed up some of my Ditmars with a (different) group, not sure, had to get out of it yesterday, it was getting confusing, and didn't want to go go any further and really make a mess on my tree, lol. Are you related to any of the Ditmars, would love any help, if you have some.

Jankowiak Loc
George B. Huelsing
Dear Tara,

my name is Loc Jankowiak and I live in Southern France in the little town of Pertuis, liberate by the American heroes of the 45th Infantry Division. I'm an amator historian and I search everything on the liberation of Southern France in 1944 by American troops. I'm looking for the pictures to see the faces of our liberator and I would like to know if it will be possible to use the picture of Pvt. George Bernard Huelsing ( who was killed in action in August 1944 for a publication or something else.

Thank you in advance.

RE: Memories
Thanks so much. Would you mind if I impose upon you from time to time on your expertise of geneaology? I really knew very little about my family and about 6 months ago started researching them. Rick K.

RE: Family in Rolla
Hi Tara,

Well sort of! I met you once about 45 years ago I think. My family lived on Salem Avenue and our backyard bordered a corner of your dad's lot.
As you walked down the sidewalk their was a white house that was between your house and our small brick house. We lived in the small brick house. I was a friend of Marta's and I met you once when you were visiting. If I remember correctly there was a portrait of you in the living room. I use to babysit Marta's toy white poodle "Lady". And I helped her do campaign posters for your dad when he ran for office.
I sort of knew Kurt...I bought an eight track player from him at Show-Me Electronics. I even met Judy once at the doctor's office...she was telling me about her toddler son who had tried to climb a ladder and I think ended up getting stitches.

Cynthia Ann Moore Etter-Ellis
Thank you so much for the information that you posted about Cynthia Ann Moore and her husbands on Findagrave. I am working on this line for a friend. Can you tell me where the complete dates of Cynthia Ann came from? I am finding compete dates on Thomas Kearnes Etter on the internet - but I have been unable to discover where that information came from.

I would really appreciate your help. Jane C. Debenport my usual email is

I see that Phil & Donna Whitaker posted to Find A Grave before your loved ones funeral & I am sorry for that. They did the same thing to me last week. I think they are only interested in having high numbers of memorials that they have created, not anybody's feelings. I just wanted you to know that you are not alone in this. I wish you well!
