I have been doing research on my family since 1990. This was not an easy task, givin' I lived in Kentucky and I was raising two children. My father's family is from North Carolina, and my Mother's family is from St. Louis Mo. Lucky for me, I was born and raised in St. Louis Mo. and my family and my husbands famliy still lived in the St. Louis area. Traveling from Kentucky to St. Louis became very frequint. I spent many hours at City Hall and the library. This was when the internet was in it's infantcy.
As many of you know research on families is an on go project. Sometimes I need a break. When I came across Find A Grave I thought this was great. I didn't know that graves were put in by volunteers. When I learned about volunteering, I thought, I would like to be a part of this, helping people find their loved ones.
