Family surnames that interest me on my mother's side: EASTMAN, DOUGLASS and CUMMINGS from the New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine areas. One moved to Kansas. Also, from my mother's side, DURHAM, from Tennessee. From my mother's father's side, WILKERSON, from Illinois. A lot of the WILKERSONs moved to Indiana and that's where my mother's family lived.|
Family surnames that interest me on my father's side: OAKES (from ??? - I have no idea), SIMPKINS and RICHARDSON from Georgia.
Of course, there are lots of other names associated with these. I'm trying to piece together more information about the Oakes and Simpkins names, for sure, because my father did not talk much about his childhood.
I'm not really sure why people list names here because I'm not looking for someone to search FOR me. But I'm adding it since it seems to be the tradition.
I have taken photos of headstones that are not in my family. If a memorial I have made is for someone in YOUR family, I will gladly transfer the memorial to you.

|Dan Phelan||Clara McLaughlin--Druid Ridge Cem|
I occasionally take photos of requests at Druid Ridge Cemetery, Baltimore for those that have section/plot numbers. You posted info on who was in the plot with Clara McLaughlin back in March, but you didn't include the actual plot number in the Annondale section. You give who is in which space number within the plot. See Memorial# 92150121
Do you have the records of the actual plot number? Annondale is a big section. Her photo request was posted back in 2012 and is the oldest request in the cemetery. I can get the photos if I had the plot number.

I've noticed you mention Isaac Almand Simpkins was an distant uncle of yours. I'm a distant cousin of is wife, Martha Hilton. Do you have any idea what brought Almand to N.C. from Georgia? I believe the Hilton's were in GA at one time but it was much further back, I believe, according to some land records. I was just curious. By the way, my family actually lived in and rented Almand/Martha's house for a while!

Do you know if this Mary Stanley is the daughter of Jesse Stanley & Mariah Stanley? Apparently she married a SIMPKINS and I'd like to know if it's the same one.

Let's try this again
Almeda Colby Eastman's stone reads 14 Dec 1864 - not 11 Dec 1861. You can read the 4s when you enlarge the picture.
