Mary Hallowell Ely #135852633
Hi Bruce - First, thanks for providing so much information on the Hallowell family. Your tireless research is obvious!

I was working on Mary Hallowell Ely on Ancestry ( a second cousin, 6x removed) and came across a record from Abington MM Graveyard Book that disputes the death date you have for Mary. The record is as follows:

1904, 4 month, 26

Mary H Ely, wife of the late George Ely and daughter of the late Israel and Mary Jsrrett Hallowell. Age: 83rd. Late residence: Washington Lane, Jenkintown. Member. Buried in lot #8 next west of her husband George Ely. Walled with brick, covered with flag stones.

I can probably send you the image via e-mail if you would like.

Rebecca Hallowell
Dear Mr. Hallowell,
I have a photo in a 1860s era family album of Rebecca Hallowell. Her photo is labeled: "Rebecca Hallowell nee Williams sister of George Williams mother of Harry Hallowell." It is a carte-de-visite taken by F. Gutekunst of Philadelphia, a prominent portrait photographer of that era. The photo was taken between 1863 and 1865.
My uncle gave me permission to scan the album before he gave it my cousin. The album was owned by Elizabeth Comly and her husband Thomas Williams. I have working on adding data to the Comly, Williams and Powell families in Abington Friends Cemetery.
I will be glad to email you digital file for your consideration or can post it to the record you created if you wish.

RE: Mary Holland Hallowell
The record I sent was to prove what Mary's middle name was, Anne, to be added to her memorial. Her full name was written on her daughters birth record that I provided for the proof of Mary's middle name and to explain the edit for her name that I sent. Mary is my husband's 8th great grandmother. Sorry if I confused you, I just like to prove my request for changes, especially ones that are that long ago.

Courtney-Hallowell family
Josephine Hallowell
My great grandmother was Josphine Hallowell who married Thomas Sylvester Courtney. I had information that her mother was Jane but my
cousin found a photo that said her name was Adaline J Reed Hallowell. I knew she was married to Henry Hallowell. You have listed Katie, Lorena, Hettie and Frederick as children of
this union but there is no mention of Josephine and I do not find her in findagrave. Would you please check your resources and see if you can find her please. I would think she would be in the Lyon County Kansas area.

Your book
How is the book going? I am a relative of Norwood Penrose Hallowell from Boston but also Benjamin Hallowell from Pennsylvania. Are the two related? I have been told yes but I am not sure?
