My dad's side of the family comes from Georgia and moved to Texas. His mother was a Durham and all we know about his dad was that he was adopted and had multiple spellings of his last name. Oh, there is a story there. I really got involved in ancestry research in 1988 after my mom passed away and boy do I regret not getting a lot of information from her.
