RE: Hi
Well if they have they've missed a lot of our family buried in area cemeteries. My husband is Don Schrader. I think he went to school with your husband. Didn't you have kids graduate from the high school in the past few years? I think our kids might have gone to school or were in sports together. Anyway, it's good to meet you and know there are some local people on this site. It's been a great place to "dig up" relatives and friends.

I see we live in the same town and I'm sure I know you. Are you photographing the local cemeteries? I plan to but it's been slow starting. I don't want to step on any toes here but if I can help with this LET me know.

a followup on Isaac Cuppett
I requested a photo, a couple days ago, of the grave of Isaac, at the Andersonville Cemetery at the prison site. Kevin Frye has been kind enough to accept the task, and has already attached his photo to your Isaac Cuppett' memorial #95774543. Thank you Kevin.

isaac cuppett # 95774543
Hi Tina,
I believe you may be related to Isaac.
I just researched him a little on Saturday, when I ran across an article on him. He is my gg/grndmothers nephew, 'apparently' if he is indeed the son of Daniel, I had seen on someone' tree, maybe yours, that he was Daniel' son. All other trees had not even mentioned Isaac as a son of Daniel or anyone else.
My gggrndmther is Katherine Cuppet. Catharine Cuppet garlock(Garlow,Garloch_) I have just added a picture of her tombstone on findagrave. It took me a few years to find where it was and then to get a picture. No one would go there. I figured out a way and I just got it, last month.
I found a newspaper article in 1863, with Isaac being "Isaac Cuppett wounded in right breast, and in enemies hands"
. Also the Andersonville info says he died at '18' years old of dysentery. I have him in the 1860 census, he was 15 years old, the month of the census and the month of his death, would make him 18.
Also, the article has his name spelled as Isaac 'Cuppett'. I know the Andersonville info has him as Cupp, I believe.
It gives a grave #, I read that they are buried in trenches, and crosses were added later. I would like to get a picture of his cross, if there is one, by referencing the grave #. I have seen other crosses with names from my researching of others.
My grt grandfather William Montgomery Ware was at Andersonville and survived. He was only 15 also.
He is on findagrave. I am trying to get his memorial page owner to add a long biography, he may not want to? There is his Obit on his site, I also requested to change the Infantry to Cavalry.
I have the greatest book on all his exploits in the War, written by one of the commanders.
For Isaac Cuppett, I also copied another paper, detailing the whole battle that Isaac was in , and what led up to the battle. Very interesting.
I hope to hear from you. I may post the short article on your Isaac' memorial page. You can move it around for looks, if needed.
I can send you the longer article for you to read about the 6th West/Virginia Cavalry.

Mava Jarman Jones
Thank you for providing the picture of Mava's gravestone. I wish there were a picture of her to go with it.
