Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am the 7th great grandson of Andreas Peterson Longacre Born in 1657, who was the son of Peter Anderson, born about 1620 in Sweden. Peter staggered off the boat at Ft.Christina, now in Delaware, in 1640.
I am the fifth great grandson of Andrew & Hannah Ireson Longacre, my fore bearers that courageously moved from the Delaware river area by Philadelphia to Winchester VA, around 1752. They are the fore bearers of all Western & Southern Longacre's.
I am the third great grandson of John Longacre, murdered by federal troops in front of his home in Bluff Springs Missouri in July 1862.
I have at least 1000 photos of my family's grave sites and place's they lived and died. This is my attempt to share them with the world.
Did I mention I love this stuff?

Margaret Cock Longshore Jenner's burial place
Margaret Persdotter Kock/Cock and Robert Longshore were my 7x great-grandparents. I have done extensive research on my Cock-Lom-Longshore-and other related families and I wrote a family history book in 2011 telling about what I discovered about my ancestors lives.

Robert Longshore along with his wife, Margaret Cock and their two children; Euclid and Alice (Elsa), are listed on the 1693 Census of the Swedes on the Delaware, they are living at Kingsessing in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Robert Longshore was an Englishman and he became a member of the Swedish community when he married Margaret Cock.

Robert Longshore died intestate in 1694, and Margaret Cock Longshore married Thomas Jenner, another Englishman. Then in 1698, Thomas Jenner (listed as Jenderman), his wife Margaret Cock, their children: Euclides and Elsa (by her former husband) Longshore, and Maria, daughter of Thomas Jenderman (Jenner), are listed on the 1698 Census of the Swedes on the Delaware in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.

On June 2, 1700, at the consecration of the Gloria Dei Church, Margaret [Cock], widow of Thomas Jenner was listed as one of the “Charter Members of the Gloria Dei Church”. Margaret Cock Longshore Jenner is listed in the Aronameck District of Pennsylvania and listed just below Margaret at this ceremony for the church is Anders Longacre & wife Magdalena Cock, one of Margaret’s sisters and her husband.

I have never seen a copy of Margaret Cock Longshore Jenner’s will; I have only been able to find a “Will Abstract” of her will and this does not mention where Margaret was buried. If you have a copy of Margaret’s actual will, I would love to see it if you would be willing to share it with me.

Thank you for contacting me.

RE: Re: Brita and Catharine Cock
Hi again. Thanks for responding. The girls are my 2nd cousin 6x removed. So not direct relationship. They belong to my greater Stidham / Steadham family. I spent many months working on connecting all of these people together on findagrave. Having the information correct and the girls connected to the correct parents is enough for me. Thanks for fixing it.

Re: Brita and Catharine Cock
I am thinking that you have Brita Cock Find A Grave Memorial# 15088318 and Kathrina Cock Find A Grave Memorial# 15088295 attached to the wrong parents.

I have the book Early Church Records of New Castle County, Delaware. Volume 2.
On page 10 it states that Anders Cock and wife Sarah's (Adamsdotter Stedham) child Brita, 7 weeks old, baptized December 11th, Sponsors, Conrad Constantine, Timotheus Lylofsson Stedham, Eric Anderson's wife Brita, Miss Magdalena Petersdotter.

On Page 26 Anders Cock and wife Sara's children Adam and Catharina, born January 31st, baptized February 9th 1722.

On page 40 Anders Cock's daughter Brita, buried December 16th 1726

Right underneath that listing is Anders Cock's daughter Catharina, buried December 18th 1726

I think that you have the daughters Catharina and Brita attached to the wrong parents. The parents should be Sarah Adamsdotter Stedham Cock. Find a grave Memorial # 27803734 and Anders Cock Find A Grave Memorial # 27803732

The Timen Stiddem Society web page also says that these girls are daughters of Anders Andrew Cock and Sarah Stedham. It also states that Anders Andrew Cock's parents are John Andersson and Catharine Hendricksdotter Cock.

Would like to talk with you about what you think about this information. Cathy Cadd

Berry (Berenice) Wyeth Bull Longacre
Hi, I'm not related, just following a lead from a prominent MN family I am interested in. It seems Berry was not perhaps only disowned by her family, but as she was adopted, the trust left to her mother, Willamete Berenice Smith Wyeth Furness Bull Merchant (Find A Grave Memorial# 49259709), was not passed on to her after her mother died in 1940. The lawsuit deciding this is found by googling "Wyeth v. Merchant, 34 F. Supp. 785 (WD Mo. 1940) - Justia".

W. Berenice first married Alexander Ramsey Furness who died in 1916. (This was the person who got me going on this line of research today; his grandfather- Alexander Ramsey- was the first governor of MN Territory and Ramsey County, MN was named for him.) She remarried to Edmund Llewellyn Bull and daughter Berenice "Berry" was adopted in 1919. She lastly married Col. Berkeley Thorne Merchant in 1925 and is buried (d. 1940) with him at Arlington National cemetery.

I wonder what happened to Berry.

Maybe too much info!!
