Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in Berea Ohio. My cousin whom lived in Strongsville Ohio introduced me to my husband. My husband and I set up housekeeping in Berea but later moved to Strongsville. We raised four children: 2 boys and 2 girls. They have blessed us with 8 grandchildren. My family and my pets are the most important aspects of my life.

My parents were well involved in genealogy of my side of the family. They had published about 18 books on our ancestors. During this time they encouraged me to trace my husbands' ancestry. Therefore I have been involved in genealogy for about 30 years.

I enjoyed listening to some of their stories of trying to find different cemeteries. The families I am following include Harshey, Becker, Bick, Gochenauer, Weislogel, Freeburn, Hammill, & Kocsis.

RE: Henry Heine
He is listed on Westpark Internment records as having been buried 11-23-1916, I added the year 1916 to his memorial, I do not know if there is a headstone.

RE: Abraham Lanning
That memorial was transferred to me. I haven't done the research in it. My g gm was Emily Lanning Hazen born 1853 IN and died OK. Her gf was Ruben Lanning born NJ and died IN. If you have verified information on Abraham Lanning or his parents, I'm happy to add it with your sources. I see someone has created a duplicate memorial for Abraham.

William Johnson
Hi Barb,

My name is William Johnson and I am working on a book on the Freeburn family. It was my Mother's side of my family. She was descended from the Freeburns who stayed in Pennsylvania. I saw your recent update on and was wondering if you might be interested in co-authoring the book with me. I would really love to have someone who could second guess me and tell me if they thought I was right or wrong about the various Freeburn families. Anyway, if you are at all interested drop me a line and I can share some of the research I have been doing.

Hi Barb,
What cemetery are we talking about?

RE: Alexander Heine
I don't have a DC, my information came from a partial transcription of the Monroe Street Cemetery. I'm not sure if they have DCs from that time or not. LG

Find a Grave Community Day
I follow them on FB and for Find A Grave Community Day some people will be going to Woodland Cemetery to meet and photograph!
The idea is to get as many gravers as possible in the US (or abroad!) to fill outstanding photo requests, take photos for new entries, and meet others in their area.
I have you on my 'friends list' as a Cleveland area peep, so I wanted you to know. There are already 3 of us signed up.

Two additional resources to call for records are Highland Park Cemetery (216) 348-7210 and the Western Reserve Historical Society (216) 721-5722.
