RE: Petersen, Tillie

Melody,

I just noticed that Edmund died in California, is it possible that he is buried there? Unless you know for sure that he is buried in City View, you probably shouldn't indicate he is. You can still leave his memorial on the website, but you can mark that you don't know where he is buried.

RE: Petersen, Tillie

Hello Melody,

No, I am not related to the Petersen, I was only working on the cemetery. As I noted on Tillie's memorial, the headstone is made for two, but her name is the only one that appears on it. It's possible he was buried there and the name never was added, or is it possible that he remarried after Tillie past away and is buried with his other family? There were a number of us working on City View Cemetery and we went stone by stone through the whole thing. I can't imagine if he is buried there, how he might have been missed. Your best bet is to contact the cemetery office. They could tell you for sure if her husband and son are buried there.

RE: Whiteleather/Floyd
You might try Mahoning or Stark County. North Georgtown is only a few miles south of the Stark and Mahoning county line. I never did find my GGGrandfather who died in North Georgetown in 1907.(We think) He might be unmarked in North Georgetown cemetery with his family, or could be buried on the family farm. If they died in the winter, some deaths were never recorded 'till spring, and maybe not then. I found a obit that said he died near Alliance. No death cert.no burial records

I found William and Catherine Whiteleather,
Floyd in the Columbiana County records. If you will add them to North Georgetown Cemetery, before the weekend I will post the photos.
I checked for Julia and Conrad Floyd or Flad, or Fuhle. There is no record of their burial in Columbian County.
There is some Beitlers buried in Salem, but wrong generation.
