I got started in genealogy several years ago while propping my leg and icing my ankle after an injury following Santa down the stairs one Christmas Eve.|
I was bored and even though I did not want the computer that came into my house I started playing around with it. I am self taught on the computer but do the best I can.
I want to leave information about family for my children, grandchildren an great-grandchiodren.
Some surnames I am working on: Bell, Bushing, Cross, Fellers, Finch, Ganss, Hickle, Keränen, Kriete, Leonard, McNeil, Metcalf, Plain, Thompson, Tulppo & Wells.
This site has been of immense help to me and whenever possible I hope to contribute information I find to it so that maybe others can locate some family information.
I started on a project for Stateline Cemetery, Toledo OH. It is a small cemetery with some very old grave markers. I've made several trips there photographing the stones & putting them on this site. Next I hope to obtain written records to either add the names or update what I have already entered. I am hoping this project might help someone down the line. I've had to suspend my work on Stateline Cemetery and hope to return to it to re-walk it to make sure I've found as many markers as visible.
If I have taken a marker photo feel free to use it as you wish as long as it is not for profit. Look for sec412 to identify photos I've taken.
It's been a year now since my son, Kevin J. Hickle - FAG# 158026375, passed away(2/10/2016).
I've gotten partially back to working on FAG.
I wish to thank everyone for leaving messages on my son's FAG memorial. Even thou I have not met you, your thoughts are comforting.

Thank you for your help with Vica Sikes, I am sorry I have not gotten back to you. My tie to her is her husband John Shook, Any information you have on him would be appreciated

Thank you so much for your interest. Tried all census records I could find and local genealogy group. I live in California. My interest is in his mother Amanda Small who was a great aunt. The Hall family has been a mystery. Family history listed her as dead years before she died alone in a "farm" for epileptics.
|Laura Leta||Donald and Shirley Daleen|
Hi Sharon, My name is Laura Daleen Leta and these are my parents. I was reviewing find a grave in Forest Lawn on my grandfather Daniel R Macleod, when I saw your posting about them. I have been missing them so very much. Dad been gone 20 years and mom 9 years. I have been transferring vas to DVD and today came across footage on both of them. I have been happy and sad on and off watching the videos.
Do you know our family?
Thanking for working on this God Bless you for what you do.

There must be a connection very far back. My Grandfather was a Scherer born at the same place as their father Vital Scherer Memorial# 51696723. I would have to recheck.

|BPHTOL||Martha Katheren Shedrom Euler|
Hi, Shedrom is the correct spelling as you will note, it is spelled that way on the headstone of her parents. The upside down photo you refer to is actually right side up. That is the way I found the marker on her crypt within the mausoleum. I photoed EVERY crypt within the mausoleum. If her husband is interred there also, the marker was missing. It is quite possible he is there. The mausoleum was in extremely bad shape, vandalism, disrepair, neglect, etc. I was horrified at the condition of the interior. Caskets strewn about the floor even. The township responsible for the mausoleum should be ashamed of themselves for the condition of it.
