Falls Cemetery is privately owned and was platted in 1861. It has expanded and grown to 67 acres situated on a beautiful, rolling hills landscape. Hundreds of pioneer and founding family members are interred, including those from the Hanna Cemetery relocated in 1907. Honored interred veterans include over 330 from the Civil War, plus hundreds from the War of 1812, Mexican-American and Spanish-American Wars, World Wars I and II, Korean conflict, Viet Nam and subsequent wars.|
The Friends of Falls Cemetery was organized in August 2009 consisting of Wabash area residents who are largely descendants of the 13,000+ souls interred. It was officially sanctioned and its work approved and encouraged by the Wabash Cemetery Society, Inc. board of directors on November 17, 2009.
It is our goal to accurately and respectfully document the lives and relationships of those interred in Falls Cemetery. We further strive to present them in the best possible manner with biographies, histories and obituaries whenever possible, and will include plot locations and attractive tombstone photography. Additions and corrections to these memorials are welcome as are new participants in our group. Upon request, we will gladly transfer memorials to family members, and will give consideration to out-of-guideline relationships. Existing FindAGrave memorials may be (temporarily) transferred to us for research and photography.

I found some other dates for Albert Josiah.
Birth: March 22, 1853
Death: September 24, 1853
Can you provide any further information on this person?
|Shmilybrandon||Wabash Plain Dealer|
I've noticed that you post obituaries from the old Wabash Plain Dealer newspapers. I'm looking for an obituary. Would you be able to tell me where I can find those newspapers? Do you know if anyone local will do lookups. I'm willing to pay a small fee. Thanks in advance.
|Joyce DeGering Raeth||RE: infant grave|
Thanks for the reply. I will keep searching.

How do I find out if an infant grave was Male or Female? DeGering Baby died 22 Dec 1871 in Wabsh, Indiana. Falls Cemetery. Joyce
|Kyle Conrad||Judge Donald Mote|
You have incorrectly linked Emma Holloway Mote, buried in the Darlington IOOF Cemetery in Montgomery County, Indiana, as the mother of Judge Donald Mote. Emma was not the wife of Oliver W. Mote but was the wife of Andrew W. Mote, also buried in the Darlington IOOF Cemetery. Thank you.
|Carole J. Gardner||Gilbert Shuck|
I have added the military information for Gilbert Shuck. In doing so, I noticed you have his birthdate as 3/20/1891. My records indicate 3/20/1890. Do you know which is correct? Thanks.
|Jennifer Thompson||Find a Grave photos|
I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published. If it is ok to use your photos, could you also give me your first and last name for the captions?

I have resubmitted the edits. I prefer to keep all correspondence regarding Find a Grave within the site to avoid confusion. Feel free to contact me via the Edit tab on any memorial I manage if you prefer not to post to my wall.

I see that you have declined my edits to correct the locations for these two like-named ladies. You currently have:
Catherine Carmody Ivory 42271863
Sec E, lot 201, sp 4
and her husband
John Ivory 42271996
Sec OP, lot 7, sp 5
Catherine "Kate" Buckley Ivory 42271996
Sec OP, lot 7, sp 4
and her husband
George M Ivory 42271919
Sec E, lot 201, sp 5
What is the likelihood that these two ladies are buried with each others husbands? The first couple even share a stone in the old part, yet she is listed in Sec E. Can you please correct them?
