|Karen Kinnard||Columbus Kinnard's father|
Since I completed my dna a few years ago, it took me a while to finally see what was in front of me. I believe Columbus's father is Charles Isom 1840-1902. I match so many of his family and beyond ancestors. My sister found a note she had written from information given to her by our dad right before he passed away. He told her his name was Isom. The story is Charles Isom came to visit Columbus some years after Ora Lee was born and stayed a day or two. After he left, he committed suicide by hanging. I cannot find a death certificate on line and need to call the archives to see if they have one. The strange thing is several of his sons were declared insane, dementia or mental illness. One even was in Central State in Nashville till his death. Have you done the Ancestry DNA test? I wish not we could find where James Kinnard came from since we do not match with the other Kinnaird's in the area.

Thomas Franklin and Josephine (Hale) Bumbalough are my great grandparents. I only have a rather poor photo of them and would appreciate it if you have any you could email to me. Their daughter Dora Mae was my much loved "Granny." Many thanks, Jay A. Clark
Hello Mr. Jones
Are you a direct male from Columbus Kinnard? If you are, have you done DNA to help us find out who the father of Columbus is? Also, would help to try to figure out who James Kinnard was.
