We like to share information with our cousins all over the country.

|Linda Sparks Massia||RE: James Askew Miller|
I show Matilda as buried in an unmarked grave next to Robert, but James died abt 1890 with no burial location listed.
|Linda Sparks Massia||RE: Matilda Tiritha Carroll|
Other researchers show her name as "Tivitha" or "Tobitha" or "Tabitha."
If your mother-in-law is sure it was "Tiritha," then I don't have any documentation showing it was one of these other names either.
|BF||RE: Bessie Martin Murphee|
Hi, One of Bessie's brothers, Robert Hatton Martin, is buried in Brush Creek (Smith Co), which is why I was searching for their parents - Reuben and Elizabeth. I added another sister, Mary Martin Kelly - #174263217, and have included all of the census data that I could find in her bio section. Elizabeth was probably married before she married Reuben - hard to determine. Elizabeth was a 'Herndon' when she married Reuben, but her maiden name MIGHT have been Washington or Asington (sp?/).
Reuben's parents were George & Martha, but I could not locate their marriage record. Based on the 1850 census, they must have lived in Illinois before coming to TN. Hope this helps.

I'm researching my husbands family for him; can you tell me if Mary Polly is the daughter of Pool and Susan Hall?
|BF||RE: Sam Woodside question|
Hi, I don't have any addl info on the Woodside family. I've been researching people that are buried in the Brush Creek cemetery in Smith County. A Blackburn was married to Edward Gothard, a brother to Sam Woodside's wife. It's like a patchwork quilt - all the connected families.
